pick⭐️⭐️⭐️ Known as his “Watergate novel,” this touches on the labor movement, power, and politics, all draped in dark humor, of course. It‘s told from bureaucrat Walter Starbuck‘s POV in the days following his release from prison for his wee involvement in the Watergate scandal. This isn‘t Vonnegut at his best, but still enjoyable. I‘m always thrilled for a Kilgore Trout cameo, though he is slightly different in this account.

Grabbed this one from the top of a pile of trash in front of someone‘s house. There wasn‘t anything wrong with it! My guy Vonnegut isn‘t about to go sit on a landfill if I can help it.

pickAnother good Vonnegut read. As always his satire and social commentary are on point even for today.
I am determined to finish this damn book today! I don't know why I'm struggling with it. It's a good book but I am struggling to get through it. I only have 50 pages left.

I've found a similar idea in other books with characters that are Jewish and survived camp(s). I've also found it in memoirs of survivors.

Wide variety of genres and time periods written, but couldn't stop myself from alphabetizing.... and Moose couldn't stop herself from "helping" (fast forward one minute to a pile of open books on the floor)
This is the 11th #KurtVonnegut book I've read (about to be 11th, in a few moments) I bought this at a thrift shop at around 50php (I actually asked a friend to buy all the Vonnegut books there when he had the chance, I ended up getting 6 to 7 books! Hahaha!)
You can't just eat good food. You've got to talk about it too. And you've got to talk about it to somebody who understands that kind of food.
pickA brilliant satire of 1970s US. Written in that deceptively simple Vonnegut style that is completely entertaining while at the same time making me catch my breath and say YES, THAT.
