No snow days for the wicked! š‘æ

Did it snow so much that school was canceled? YES.
Do I work in a school? YES.
Do I have to go to work anyway? ALSO YES.

I work in a shape-shifting library, which operates as an elementary school library during the day & a public library after-hours. Normally, it‘s kind of a fun & interesting situation but when there‘s a snow day, we still have to go to work (at the Main Branch downtown). I took a 1/2 day. š¤·ā€¨ā™€ļø¸

LA_Mead Awww... I always have to go in to work too. In my board, teachers have to still be in the building as part of some agreement even when there aren‘t kids there š 5y

monalyisha @LA_Mead Bummer! I wish we could just go our regular location to work instead of downtown. All of my stuff is there (for class visit planning & programs) & there‘s plenty to do. It‘d be so productive to have some time without the kids! Downtown, we just get busy work & projects that the people who actually work there have deemed too boring or distasteful. š– Complain, complain. š† I‘m just going to enjoy my book & coffee for the next little bit. 5y

Bookish_AF We never get snow days either ā¹ļø¸ We had that heavy wet snow (same as you probably) that was up to my knees and I spent an hour desperately stuck in my driveway this morning because our plow guy hadn‘t come yet. We do have a snowblower. It was locked in the shed. My boyfriend had the only key to the shed on his key ring and he was still at work š¤¦š¸¼ā€¨ā™€ļø¸ lessons learned for next time š‚ 5y
