The Importance of Being Earnest
The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Novel for Serious People | Charles Osborne, Oscar Wilde
11 posts | 52 read | 4 to read
Perhaps the finest flower of England's greatest wit, The Importance of Being Earnest is known and loved by millions worldwide. This is the classic story of Algernon Moncrieff and John Worthington, the women enamored of them (after a fashion), the very proper Lady Bracknell, handbags, babies, and Charing Cross Station. When each of the men try to pass themselves off as Earnest in their attempts to win over the women of their dreams, confusion (and hilarity) reigns. Now rendered expertly as a novel, The Importance of Being Earnest will delight, charm and amuse long time aficionados and new readers alike.

This is a hilarious and quick play centered around two couples and the name Ernest. My favorite #FreakyFriday read so far. #LitsyClassics

This one counts in my #litsyatoz, something I likely never would have read if it wasn't for the challenge and #serialreader. I really enjoyed this play, lots of humorous moments and great characters. Very well written with a clever ending!

Took this picture as a color study, but now I just want to read more Wilde!

I just got the serial reading app and I'm starting with the one play I was supposed to read for class and didn't even open. 😳 So manageable to read this way though!
