Ummmm no. Like so many before me, I was greatly disappointed by this disjointed graphic … novel? It held promise. Such promise was, alas, dashed. ⭐️⭐️ because promise ain‘t nothin‘.

I wonder if this is what it‘s like for authors... they‘re sleeping, and all of a sudden they know exactly what their next story is. 📖

1. Every few days virtually, monthly in person
2. Library of Congress, NYPL
3. I have several on hold virtually (Ready Player 1, Underground Railroad to name a few)
4. Don‘t remember the exact age but wary elementary school. Can‘t wait to get my boys their own cards.

I agree with you @GrilledCheeseSamurai this had potential but it fell short. The images were pretty but the stories didn't really connect together and it didn't explain much about the narrator

I was really looking forward to this one. The premise of books rebelling in a surreal library sounds pretty cool. There are 7 short stories (1 for each day of the week) and I only liked 1 of them. The rest was a hard pass.

The writer even writes himself into the story talking about how he hopes people will see how smart he is and then explains how he has no ending for the book. Wtf?

On the surface this is a graphic novel about a man who lives in a magic library. But it's a lot more then that. A new story for each day of the week, this is weird, and really meta, and did I mention weird?

The story was somewhere between so-so and a pick for me, but I'm giving it a pick because the art was gorgeous.

Its about books and libraries so I had to pick this one up. I enjoyed about 90% of this graphic novel. It is divided up into days. One day equals one chapter. I really enjoyed the art work and story up until the last day. Unfortunately, the ending was not very good in my opinion. There are no super heroes/villains in this graphic but rather the life of a very unique librarian as he goes about a week in the library he is in charge of. Worth a read!

Finally got a copy of this. Hope I like it. It's a #comic and it's in a #library. What could be better?

I believe meta is the most fitting word to describe this book. That makes it a perfect pick for my #ReadHarder2017 book about books. It's also my #LitsyAtoZ letter #O.

Very strange m, but worth an hr of your time.

Gonna get my Sunday Morning started with my comic book haul. Look forward to One Week In The Library, A one-off Graphic Novel from Image.

I loved the concept for this book and the way they took common stories and recreated them in darker, more twisted ways. Also, I share the MC's fear of never getting to read all the books! The description of the library is great and the art did not disappoint. The ending, however, was a disappointment and the reason for my so-so rating. Otherwise, this definitely would have been a pick.

On my Kindle this morning! What can happen over one week at the library? I'm about to find out. Looks like it should be fun.

Oh man do I relate.
