My Mom @TracyReadsBooks hid this from me for 2 months, got it today as a birthday present. I already have 2 copies of Red Rising, but this edition is just so cool! Honestly, you can never have too many copies of Red Rising.
Leaving for sleep away Camp today, gonna be away from home for 2 months so I had to pack some good books! The Martian (it‘s not like I‘ve already read it 6 times), A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness, The Passage by Justin Cronin, and Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. Super excited to read all these books this summer!
Book Haul! “Void Star” by Zachary Mason, “The Genius Plague” by David Walton, “Code” by Charles Petzold, and my uber nerdy choice, “HTML&CSS” by Jon Duckett. Hooray for books!
I finished the Thunderhead ( This is Book 2. Book 1 is Scythe) Thursday night and it was really good. Comparing to Scythe, I think I enjoyed Scythe a bit more, but Thunderhead was still a fantastic continuation of the series, and I can‘t wait for book 3!
What has become of Rowan and Citra after the conquest... find out not only that in Thunderhead but also the stories of several other important characters.
Huge thanks to Pierce Brown for an epically hilarious night of Iron Gold.
If you haven‘t read Iron Gold, I highly recommend checking it out!
🤟🏻🤟🏻 I absolutely love this book, & just the R.R Universe in general.
10 years after Darrow was the leader of a revolution the galaxy has fallen into an infinite war. No longer is this just the story of Darrow though, Lyria a red slave, Ephraim a bitter disillusioned soldier, & Lysander au Lune, also tell their own stories.
A crazy tale of victory and sadness, heros and enemies. Brown throws you right back into the amazing world of R.R!
Heading out to Naperville for a Pierce Brown Iron Gold Book Signing. Super excited. The book was amazing, as was the original trilogy! Yay!

“They call him Father, Liberator, Warlord, Slavs King, Reaper. But he feels a boy as he falls toward he war-torn planet, his armor red, his army vast, his heart heavy. It is the tenth year of war and the thirty-third year of his life.”
Too precious to take to school and too good to put down! Breakfast and as much reading as possible before school this morning. Yay! 😁
Yay it came! I love Red Rising, it‘s my favorite series, and I have been dying to read Iron Gold. There really is nothing better than an afternoon with no homework, and lots of Red Rising. WooHoo! Super excited!
Finished Ink and Bone last night and I must say it was pretty good. At first I didn‘t really get into it, but once I did, I did not want to stop reading. I definitely recommend picking this book up.
I‘m enjoying Strange the Dreamer, but it‘s going a bit slow, so I‘m going to read Ink and Bone at the same time. It was recommended by my friend and I‘ve been meaning to read it.
“”I‘ll give you one theory, as wild and improbable as I can make it.”
“And beautiful and full of monsters,” she reminded him.
“And beautiful and full of monsters,” he agreed, and he knew then what he would tell her.
It was the oldest story in the world.”
“The books were his, and they were all that was his. He‘d made them, and he loved them in the way one loves things that come of one‘s own hand, but even that wasn‘t he extent of it. They weren‘t just a collection of notes. They were where he kept his impossible dream-“
On the way to grandparents house. We‘re going to see Pixar‘s Coco. I️ hear it‘s really good. In the mean time, reading Strange the Dreamer, which by the way is pretty interesting so far.
“On the second Sabbat of Twelfthmoon, a girl fell from the sky. Her skin was blue, her blood was red.”
Picked up Strange the Dreamer at The Book Cellar. Hooray for independent bookstore day. Found my next book! Sounds super good.
I️ sat in bed this morning, read Crooked Kingdom, & didn‘t do anything until I️ finished. It was amazing! I️ love the characters & the story. I️ can‘t really give a summery without spoiling the first book, so I‘ll just say it is, once again, a fast paced, gripping story. Considering I️ stayed up until 10:00 last night reading it, and wouldn‘t put it down for about 4 hours this morning, it‘s safe to say Crooked Kingdom was definitely unputdownable.
Awesome day full of friends, Field museum, fort making, nerf battling, slime making, ice cream, and guess what; a leaf blower that shoots toilet paper. Wrapping it all up with some Crooked Kingdom reading. I️ am thankful for this awesome day. 🦃
Awesome morning of ‘Maison Parisienne‘ and reading Crooked Kingdom! Getting in lots of reading now before friends come over.
I️ stayed up way too late last night to finish Six of Crows. It is a very intriguing and unique book. Kaz Brekker is a criminal prodigy, and one day he is offered a heist that will make him & his team rich beyond their wildest dreams, if it isn‘t too impossible to complete. Once again, very interesting book with amazing characters. Leigh Bardugo is incredible at creating a sense of place, describing the scenery, & creating the world. A must read!
It‘s so dark I️ had to use flash to get the image! Anyways, some nightly reading after an awesome thanksgiving. I️ hope you all had a great thanksgiving too. I️ am thankful for my family, all the opportunities I‘ve had in my life, and this awesome day I️ got to spend with my parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle, friends, & cousins. Also thank you to all the people who let me interview you for my Language Arts Project. Have a good weekend everyone.
“With Jesper gone, there was nothing but Zoya‘s voice in her head and the reminder that her best wasn‘t good enough.”
Pastries, reading Six of Crows, and a drive out to Grandma and Papa‘s for Thanksgiving! 🦃
Reading Six of Crows after a long day of origami place card making, birthday card making, and Friendsgiving. 🦃🦃.
Woke up this morning and just read to the end of this book! Once again I️ must say, Gemina is a real page turner, and impossible to put down. Hanna is the station captain‘s daughter, and Nik is an unwilling member of a crime family, two stories that would likely never collide, until the Heimdall is invaded by BeiTech. I️ definitely recommend reading, but make sure to read Book 1, Illuminae first!
Gemina is very good so far! Even with school, homework, and helping teachers I‘ve found time to read 400 pages! Yay books and yay Thanksgiving Break! Happy Early Thanksgiving to all. 🦃🦃🙂👍🏻
I️ finished Runaways Volume 2 a little while ago and we got Volume 3! Yay, planning on reading it after “Gemina” and “Six of Crows.” I️ would‘ve used a picture of Volumes 1&2 but someone... eh hem ... @TracyReadsBooks lent it to a friend to read over Thanksgiving break. Just kidding 🤗, I️ bet they‘ll enjoy it!
Yay Gemina! Just finished Illuminae, book 1, and I‘m starting this along with Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. A friend of mine recommended it to me over the summer and I️ finally picked it up at the store yesterday.
Between the midst of Thanksgiving cards and selective enrollment exams this book was definitely fun. I️ love the unique writing style of the book, it totally works for the story. Kady broke up with Ezra the day their planet got invaded... what are the odds? Plus, a virus is infecting people on the escape vessels. Once again, a very intense and fast paced read. I‘m very excited to start Illuminae Files _02.
Let me start off by saying this book is incredibly good! Nova lives in a world where the Renegades are praised as hero‘s, but she has a reason to hate them. Adrian is a Renegade, who believes in justice and righteousness. Fast paced, intriguing, and sure to keep you plowing on through to the end.
Amazing book! Catarina (Cat) Agatta lives in a world where people can adjust their DNA and a virus is running rampant. Cat and her father, both hacking geniuses, may be the only ones who can find a vaccine. One day the evil company Cartaxus kidnaps Cat‘s father, and 2 years later when a mysterious soldier know as Cole shows up, Cat embarks on a journey, knowing she now may truly be the world‘s last hope. Very engaging, and impossible to put down.
Oh my goodness, this book was amazing. To start it was extremely well written. The end made me lean backwards and gasp. Not to mention how thought provoking it is. I highly recommend reading this book
Started reading Long Way down last night. So far a good read. Very intriguing and I am excited to see where the story goes.
Cubs nerd, reading a book about the cubs rebuild. Perfect! "The Cubs Way" is actually quite interesting.
Awesome thing to read before you start a new book! Which, by the way, is super good so far. 🙂
Met Brendan Reichs Friday night. Super excited to read his new book Nemesis... I mean it came with a pin so it has to be great 🙂! No really though, it sounds awesome!
Reading this book 📚 right now! Super good so far. Sounds like the rest is going to be awesome too. 👍🏻
Loving UnBound so far! It's so interesting to have a different perspective on things! Like I said, ❤️️❤️️❤️️ing it.
I really liked Divergent. It was a great read for me. Insurgent was pretty good as well, but Allegiant was a little different for me. Overall it was ok, but I didn't feel Tris's sacrifice was necessary. Other then that it was good. 🙂
Such an amazing story! Just thinking about not being able to hide your thoughts is crazy. Story line was great. Patrick Ness created this crazy world where everyone can hear each others thoughts, and there are no women. Then one day Todd finds a break in the noise... what could this mean? Super thought provoking. I would totally recommend this book. Thanks to @TracyReadsBooks for showing me this amazing book!
Picked this up at the Book Cellar today! Loved the Unwind Series and can't wait to start reading. 🙂
Such a good book! Super cool to meet Benjamin Alire Sáenz at the Book Celler.
Read the ARC for this book about a week ago and I really enjoyed it. Great themes and great story line. 👍🏻
Laughed out loud when I first read this and still do. One of my favorite Sevro lines! ❤️Red Rising. ❤️ Golden Son. ❤️Morning Star. GO HOWLERS!
Absolutely love ❤️ Pierce Browns Red Rising! So good I had to make a science project about it.
Reading Carve the Mark this morning on the way to school. Came across this. Very curious for when Cyra and Akos meet.
