I really need to start this book D: I don't want spoilers for the Shadow and Bone trilogy, though, so I have to get through those first. I'm obsessed with the edges of these pages, though. I doubt I'm the only one.

Started this today thanks to the #DenverPublishingInstitute. I genuinely don't enjoy poetry 9 times out of 10, but this story is fantastic. Kids with troubled pasts - one in an abusive household and another an immigrant looking for a way to stay despite his parents' wishes - come together as their worlds fall apart.

LOVE AND GELATO is alright, as far as contemporary romance goes. It covers some serious topics, which I appreciate for sure, but it was just sort of predictable. And that's fine if you want a light, easy summer read! I know many people who would like it. But it had too many similarities to my life through character names and the like, so it was even more difficult for me to enjoy it.

This was my first Bardugo novel and my goodness. I had a feeling somebody had to have made a playlist, and I was right. Fans of the series will LOVE ashdacy's playlist. The antiheroes in this duology are some of my all-time favorites. Anything fantasy or heist calls to me and miraculously, this series has both! Eek!
Note: don't read the second (Crooked Kingdom) before her Grisha world trilogy. Spoilers abound!

Borrowing this from my friend Richelle! I'm not very far in, but so far my a lot has happened? I guess we'll see. It's supposed to be a contemporary/coming of age, and was published by Simon&Schuster. I'm hoping it picks up soon!
