CogsOfEncouragement A few years ago my teen daughter read this and then insisted I did so we could talk about it. We both loved it. We read the next two in the series. I think there is one more though that we haven‘t gotten to yet. I hadn‘t heard about the movie. That is fun news! 2y

I begrudgingly have to say this is a pick. I usually hate YA romance novels, and I know I was getting nit-picky about different things as I was reading because I‘m an Italian lang/culture geek, but this left me with such a warm and fuzzy feeling that I can‘t deny how much I loved it. Lina and Ren were such adorable characters too.

Kaylamburson I enjoyed Turtles, but there were things that bothered me. A lot of Green's Character sound the same to me. However, his lyricism is beautiful and I appreciated the book for what it was. For Dessen, I really enjoyed it! It's a fun, light read, similar to Lara Jean's books, but there was a larger plot point I wasn't expecting. What did you think of Turtles? @BookHoarder32 6y

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage @Kaylamburson I agree about Turtles. The first few books of his I loved (Looking for Alaska, etc) but he's not my favorite author anymore. I adore Dessen. I recently bought a second copy of Once and for All because I needed the BN epilogue with the characters from Saint Anything. 6y

Kaylamburson Oh I didn't realize there was a special epilogue edition! I haven't read Saint Anything yet though, so that's in my TBR! I read her a ton in high school and then forgot about her until recently. @BookHoarder32 As for Green, I loved Fault in Our Stars, and I think it's really hard to top that one. 6y
