So I've never watched the movie so I wanted to read the book first. I thought it was ok but it dragged and wasn't really anything special or different

BoleyBooks I don‘t normally rewatch movies, but that one has a magical cast and worth watching every time. 6d
ulrichyumiodd I‘ve heard the movie is much better in this case. I haven‘t read the book, but I love the movie! 6d
Emma3 I'll have to watch the movie then 6d

I think I liked this more than her first book. It was a story that didn't try to be too happy and included the bad things which is real life. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading her third book

I loved this! I enjoyed the film but this was so much better! A lot scarier and more atmospheric! I recommend everyone to read this

marleed I saw the movie first but having read the book much prefer the kids in the book who could negotiate their world better than their mom. But I kind of prefer Sandra Bullock‘s bad-ass approach to her character. 2mo

I'd heard such food reviews of this and I finally got around to reading it. I thought the writing was very nice but it was so slow and boring! I enjoyed it when I was reading it but it didn't make me rush to pick it up again (hence with it took me so long to read it) I wasn't sad to finish it and found it so long and drawn out

The second one doesn‘t seem to be on here even though all the others are? This is the second in the series. The writing is not the best and it can be quite predictable but I actually like it! The ending again seemed very rushed so don‘t know if she has a word limit?

Better on the number of books but less pages. Reading more on @SerialReader and trying to read all the Christmas ones. Also enjoying graphic novels again. My current read is taking forever to finish I think I‘m just not that into it, so keep reading other shorter things instead. Well on track to meeting my Reading Challenge target though! 😊
