I really liked GOTT so I was super psyched for Paula Hawkins #SophmoreNovel 🙄I own it but have yet to read it since my family members (mom& daughter) both said it was only meh 😔I think it's a lot of pressure to please the masses when your debut novel is such a hit! @RealLifeReading #JubilantJuly

L_auren @Cinfhen It was helpful to hear about the issues people had with the multiple perspectives. I made sure to take a minute to orient myself each time it shifted. Enjoy!! 7y

scripturient I actually liked this one a lot - maybe even more than GOTT. - I'm kind of chuckling right now cause this is actually the word for God in German. 😂 As others had complained about the many characters, I made a list to jog my memory and that helped a lot. 😊 7y

Reviewsbylola I actually didn't think Train was anything special. I'm excited for this one though. I definitely plan to keep track of the characters from the beginning by taking notes in my phone or something. 7y

Lmstraubie There was so much hype around the release of this book which can create unrealistic expectations. This is up next for me. I'm going to follow everyone's suggestions for keeping track of the characters. 7y

RealLifeReading I haven't read any of her books mostly because I read Gone Girl and was like, meh. So somehow all these GG-like books get (mentally) filed into the maybe in ten years if I have nothing else to read pile 7y

Reggie @TrishB I didn't like Girl on the Train either. It was more of a "this is why we don't drink kids," after school special. None of the characters were likable. And I couldn't root for them either. 7y

TrishB @Reggie I think that and Gone Girl taught me that I had to at least like/care about one character to connect with a book. 7y
