3✨ This book had humor and raw emotion balancing it out. I liked the story and Patrick. The kids were really cute. Plus their relationship was so sweet as it developed. A lot happened to create drama, but by the end I was feeling underwhelmed from the hype I‘ve seen. It was hitting on so many different topics by the end that for me it just seems too much. Overall, a great read with good messages normal grief, and just being you. #snowedin

5✨ I was completely absorbed in this book. Multiple murders presumably made by an elderly client of a care giver. Unfortunately, Kit has to work this job because she messed up last time. She‘s scared, but learns to help her client under Ms Baker‘s directions since the elderly woman that needs help cannot speak or move. Mystery shrouds this whole storm. I figured out some of them, but not everything. I would definitely recommend. #Snowedin

4✨ What an amazingly captivating story. Evelyn reaches out to a random writer to publish her life‘s story. The one that the public eye never saw from her famous actress career. While she did have 7 husbands there is more to her story and a mysterious connection to Monique, the author of her future book. I went back and forth on what I should rate it because certain elements in the end I don‘t agree with.⬇️

4✨When I saw this book I knew I needed to read it. The idea that chess rivals could fall in love when you really can‘t talk to each other was interesting. It was done really well, and I liked the outcome in the end. What I didn‘t like was Mallory‘s self pity, and a few pages being full of cursing. While the author admits that she doesn‘t know chess that well it doesn‘t really hinder the plot. #SnowedIn @PuddleJumper @Clwojick

Final read for #wintergames - think my appendicitis was actually more of a help than a hindrance in the end!

This was bleak, but brilliant, a really moving story.

Everyone was so unlikeable in this book. I knew there was something going on because this author usually has a twist you don‘t see coming. I wasn‘t shocked by the twist because I wasn‘t that invested in this book.

This was a short read which was a good thing. I didn‘t really care for it. Set in Alaska, a cop turned writer moved after a divorce to Alaska. Someone starts stalking her and she needs to figure out who before she becomes a victim. I should have liked it, but I just didn‘t care for the writing.
