pickThis was a cute, if a little slow, fantasy romance. A mix of historical fiction and magical realism, this features a married couple in a marriage of convenience, that work together to solve a magical mystery. The relationship issues were a bit unnecessary as they were heavily built on miscommunication. When a simple conversation would solve most of the issues, it can be frustrating to leave. I still like the writing and the world. 3.5⭐️
pickGreat audiobook. A movie exec falls for a screenplay, and a cinematographer she thought she hated. A lovely, grown-up, not too sticky sweet romance.
My brain just can‘t concentrate on a book right now. I did just finish alchemy of flowers, which was pretty good but not amazing. I think I‘m going to try Annabelle Monagan‘s it‘s a love story.
I‘ve enjoyed her other romcoms and enjoy her sense of humor.
pickAnnabel Monaghan is quickly becoming a favorite author, I love that she writes rom-coms that I can so easily visualize in my head with great characters and side characters, easy banter, and new tropes while also keeping classy with what is left unsaid in the bedroom.
I made a detailed plan for my vacation. But I'm glad I was willing to let go of my plan and accept what came my way. I saved a hundred bucks or so because the hostel I booked asked if I could stay in a bunk instead of a semi-private room. My hostel ended up being right across the street from my parents' hotel, so I was able to get free parking. And I stumbled upon some great restaurants by just wandering. 🩵🩵🩵
