I thoroughly enjoyed reading this for the #SundayBuddyRead - I‘m a big fan of Old Hollywood but don‘t know as much about the silent era, so this opened up a whole new world for me. I tried to pace myself with this book & only read the required chapters for the week for the #SUNDAYBUDDYREAD but I could NOT put this book down! I‘m a huge fan of Old Hollywood & I loved seeing the main character interact with all of these famous people, right on the cusp of WWII. I read a lot of WWII fiction & this was from a new perspective that I hadn‘t thought about but really appreciate. I‘m also ready to dive into some more ⬇️

I‘m a huge fan of Old Hollywood & Jimmy Stewart is one of my faves. This short collection of poetry is a must for any of his fans. He gives a brief story about the background and why he wrote each poem. You can hear his personality come through in each one. This was such a fun book full of juicy Hollywood gossip. It covers about 100 years from 1914 to 2012 with a scandal for each day of the year. It‘s full of sly humor which I so appreciate over corny stuff. No one should be shocked that Charlie Sheen shows up more than anyone else in this book with about 8 entries dedicated to him. 😆 Highly recommended for movie buffs and lovers of Old Hollywood. 5⭐️🍿🎥

Another good read from Hourly History! I really enjoy these short bios and there are so many of them to choose from. Naturally, my love for Old Hollywood has led me to read this 13-part series first.

Ingrid Bergman is one of THE Old Hollywood legends and it was fascinating to read about her early life, career and romantic choices. This is a great place for anyone to start that is not overly familiar with the details of her life. 4⭐️

I chose Paul Newman for my monthly Hourly History read. As always, I‘d highly recommend this series which is available on kindle unlimited. It takes me about 30 minutes to read and they have a huge variety of interesting people/time periods, etc to talk about. Paul Newman is one of my fave Old Hollywood actors and I enjoyed learning more about his earlier life. If you want to see a great movie with awesome acting and 2 of the most stunningly ⬇️

I‘m really enjoying this Hourly History series which is available on kindle unlimited. Being very familiar with James Dean‘s story, I was surprised that there were several things in this that I had never heard before. Jimmy was one of a kind and a spectacular actor imo. I would highly recommend this series! 4⭐️
