Read to Henry
4/5
Stunning illustrations and a very cute picture book. The book reads forwards and backwards about a girl who goes to her house, reads a book and imagines flying a bird in the night.
Another quarterly bingo done for theuncorkedlibrarian reading challenge.
I would use this book as an introduction to rhyming as it is an easy to read poem book.
We had our very first snow this morning, so we thought we should have #FirstSnowReadathon on Dec 1st and 2nd. This will be part of #WinterGames2024. Hosted by @StayCurious and @Liseworks. This is a good beginning to start our games. Have fun!
Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, 1947 is a very enjoyable poetry book that is all about saying goodnight to all of the things inside the house in the story. The rhymes blend well together and the repetition is very comforting. I think young children would love having this story read to them by a teacher or family member!
This is another wonderful pick to read as a bedtime story! It is soft and soothing with simple rhymes and a beautiful form of poetry.
