Amiable @Cinfhen I give out stars when a book deserves it. It's not my obligation to be generous when a book doesn't. My responsibility is to the readers coming after me. I rely on others to be honest with their opinions, and I try to return that favor. I know someone who gives out 5 stars to every book so "the author doesn't feel bad." That's equivalent to handing out participation trophies, IMO. When I give out 5 stars, it really means something. 5y
