At first I didn't care for writing style, but I came to care for the story. The ancient Greeks were ruthless!!! This book made you really think what war means, what it's really about. Most prized in here is the tale of love. And I feel like that word is too cheap to describe what went on in here. Thanks to @sprainedbrain for putting this on my map. And doing it justice. Total pick!!!! Patroclus!!!!(sobs)

Reggie It was pretty good. This was not your Edith Hamilton's Mythology. Lol. There are some truly horrific moments of violence you don't see coming. Those are balanced out by the humanity that comes through in some characters you expect it from and some you don't. Give it a try. And Thetis, Achilles's mother, total #MommyDearest (edited) 8y
