Here it's again! #TheBookCam #HotGalReading #readeverywhere I can't read and listen to music at the same time. How do people manage? What type of music are you listening to? #randomquestion #bookishhabit #booknerd #music #book #read #listen #mbsc #mybookswapclub

LittlePixels I can't listen and read either. If I'm in a really loud environment, sometimes I'll either put on white noise or something instrumental - usually classical. Even instrumental can be distracting, though. I don't know how people do it. 2y
mjdowens I can‘t do this either. 2y
IamIamIam I don't think I could listen to music and read in the subway. There's always so much going on, I feel like I'm on sensory overload just going down the steps. Ill listen to classical or film scores if I'm home, though. 2y

Redwritinghood I can‘t do this either. Maybe the headphones are just there to discourage conversation? 2y
Penny_LiteraryHoarders I usually have music playing in the background, or the TV on low, really low - I just need something in the background. Can‘t be in complete silence. 😊 2y
Laura317 I have to have some noise, too. My family makes a lot of happy noise. When I'm alone, I need something in the background to concentrate. 2y
litmuggle If I'm around people I need it to drown out there talking. 2y
Kaylamburson Sometimes I just have them in to discourage conversation, like @redwritinghood said. Occasionally I have listened to the audiobook while reading at the same time if I'm switching back and forth and trying to find my place. 2y
Reecaspieces I can do both. When my kids were little and we would go on road trips, I definitely had headphones in so I could drown them out and read. Now it depends on the situation 2y
Captivatedbybooks I can do both, i dont even notice the music when im reading. My family always asks me how do i manage to drown out some noise but still pick up on other things while reading 2y
That-Bookish-Hiker I can do both. I listen to a variety of music. It's like a soundtrack for the book. Right now I listen to the Beatles, 90's alternative and Taking Back Sunday lol. 2y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I can‘t either!!! 😩 2y
MamaGina I often have either classical or jazz on in the background when I read. Amazon prime has some nice playlists made for reading, even some designated for specific genres🤓 2y
Bostonmomx2 I can but not “in”my ears and only if it‘s light classical turned down low. I can however have the TV going and read just fine. 2y
Scurvygirl Music, no. TV, yes. But I prefer silence except for when my tinnitus is acting up. 2y
Lilithcat17 I can't not have music on. Silence bothers me, so I usually stream on Spotify. I can't do TV/movies when I read. Too distracting. Right now I'm listening to Spotify's 10 Years radio. Some good hard rock bands. 2y

MyBookSwapClub @Lynnsoprano what's the book like - something rotten - sounds interesting title 2y
brilliantglow Hmmm I've been buying ebooks for 6ish years. I obviously buy more than I could read haha but also a lot of them are issues of manga/graphic novels or were free from the author or Kobo. Murder City is a true story. It's part of the history of the city where I live. I'm reading it to finish off my #readharder for this year. It's really interesting. 2y
TrishB Have finished the book and it was great 👍 2y
julesG @MyBookSwapClub The 600 books on my kindle are the ones I haven't read yet. My active TBR, I delete/remove read books from my kindle. 🙈🙈🙈 Kindle Deals are such a temptation. 2y
Redjewel_7734 @MyBookSwapClub I read it when it came out & I'm reading it mow as part of #hpchapteraday & I'm reading LOTR as part of #lotrchaptrtaday 😊 2y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @MyBookSwapClub I've see the movie Into the Wild, but haven't read the book. Like it? 2y
Laura317 @MyBookSwapClub When Dimple Met Rishi is a very sweet, fun YA love story. I highly recommend. 😊 2y
Lynnsoprano @MyBookSwapClub Something Rotten is part of the Thursday Next series. Mystery, satire, comedy, alternative history, it's all there. This series really needs to be read in order from the beginning, though. 2y
mjdowens I am really enjoying Pope Joan. Even being a fictionalized version, the author has done a great job with the description of her struggle and frustration being female and having "brains". 2y
