4.5⭐️ I really quite enjoyed the book. I had tried to read it when it 1st came out, but hadn‘t gotten around to it. I knew Churchill had been saying that people should be keeping an eye on the Nazis, but was completely unaware that there were those in the American government who were saying similar things. #nonfiction #bookreview #bookstagram #i #litsyatz2020 #listyatoz #wwii

4⭐️ Not my favourite book in the series, but certainly does add to the overall story arc of the series. #harrypotter #2020 #bookreview #fantasy #fiction #bookstagram #listyatoz2020 #listyatoz #h

Scochrane26 It‘s not my favorite, either. I think there‘s a minority who say it‘s their fave. 4y
melissajayne @Scochrane26 funny enough it was the movie out of the Harry Potter series I watched the most. 4y
Scochrane26 @melissajayne Yes, I liked the movie, too, more than some of the other movies. 4y

Guys. 😭 I am devastated. The beginning was a little rocky because I know nothing about the Second Boer War or South Africa, but after orienting myself, I was quickly sucked in. Two parallel (and connected stories) of a woman and her son in a British concentration camp during the war and a boy in the present, sent to a brutal boot camp. A moving story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #listyatoz

I legitimately gasped at this. As someone who lives in America, where gun violence is everyday, and a school shooting is something so common, I was once asked why I wanted to homeschool my daughter. My answer: I don‘t want to have her die.
But to see it in a book, plain as day. I don‘t know how to describe it...chilling maybe.

It's a damn shame McNamara died before she could see the guy arrested. Such a wonderful writer, but deeply obsessive investigator.. the details about the ear were creepy to dwell over. Our living room window never has its blinds down and now I'm like.. maybe I need to fix that 😬

The details about her and Patton were sad sweet, especially when she talked about their wedding anniversary gifts. His afterword 😞

valeriegeary This book was terrifying. I will never look out my windows at night the same way again. 5y
night_shift @valeriegeary I feel you! Definitely makes you feel a little paranoid. I get a ridiculous amount of unknown # phone calls and this hasn't helped lol 5y

Trying to find the balance between having choice paralysis and sometimes following my book instincts. Right now feels like short stories and reading challenges. #ListyAtoZ

A great first month, but behind schedule for #LitsyPassport (aiming to read 1 book a month), and started more series than I finished or got up to date on! 😳😂 Whoops!
Will have to target these in February.

AmandaL WOW! Great month! 6y
Andrew65 @AmandaL It was, targeting bigger books is definitely working for me! Thanks 👍 (edited) 6y

robinb OK, now you‘re just showing off! 😳😱😮🤭😂😂😂 (and justifiably so!) Congratulations, amazing numbers!! 👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉👍 6y
Andrew65 @robinb 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🙈 Thanks Robin 🙌🙌🙌 6y
robinb @Andrew65 I wish I read faster (like a lot of folks on here). But I think it also depends on how much I‘m invested in a book too. Currently, not so invested....at all....sigh. 6y
Andrew65 @robinb This is where the big books have got me invested, been difficult to put them down. 6y
robinb @Andrew65 totally understand! 👍 6y
batsy Very nice! I'm a bit behind on challenges, too :) #bestlaidplans 6y

This was a very quick read. The highlight of the book was his stories involving some of his former Milan and National team teammates. (I want a book by Alessandro Nesta now). I do wish, however, that it was in chronological order. Since it was published back in 2013 it didn‘t highlight his move to the US and to the team in NYC.

This goes down as letter I for #ListyAtoZ
