Thanks to Hachette books for sending this spoonie a book on long illness. These authors go over common-sense strategies for dealing with your illness. They cover broad categories (like migraines and GI illness) with tips on finding and communicating with your care team. Then they cover what they‘ve found useful for patients in terms of treatment from supplements to exercise. This is more of a holistic book and won‘t necessarily help you ⬇️

I‘m getting books in about 3x as fast as I‘m reading them! 😂 Behind these books is a mystery bulb that my mom planted in the fall. Any guesses?

My #botm and #aardvark boxes have arrived, so I‘m very excited for those. Thank you to #HachetteBooks for the hardcover copy of Long Illness. As soon as I can get a breath to focus on my own issues, it‘s at the top of my list!! And I couldn‘t resist End of the World House from the library.

Freuman‘s goal is to help readers get to the bottom of why their bowels aren‘t moving correctly. This is a great read if you‘re struggling to be regular or, like me, have issues that aren‘t being resolved. I took her quiz, and it lead me to the same two my doctor did. I read both chapters, and also the section on Celiac, which I already know I have. Her information was up-to-date, concise, and a great place to start with your provider.
