Welcome to Litsy!

Living in South Korea for a short time and with military experiences, this book provided “local” perspective and historic context in a fictional way to many things accurate about my experiences. Sad but eye opening. Hope thing improve and this book provides perspective to those unfamiliarly with some of the “influences” American culture has forced on other countries impacted.

We finally settled on Daisy (gray) and Piper (white) for our new rescue babies. We love these spoiled little furballs already. 🥰😍 #CatsOfLitsy

I just started this book today, should be a quick read ; it‘s not real interesting other than the historical aspect I guess- it‘s a bit early on I will keep you posted

- I chose this book because looking at the title and reading the back of the book made me very attached to it.
summary - An intepented and strong girl, Violet Pesheens, was put into a residential school for a year. She struggled with getting along with the other girls because she was “different“. This book was just a diary of her life living there.

The Quilt walk is about a ten year old girl and her family that join a wagon train to head west to Colorado from Illinois during the gold rush. There wasn't a ton of excitement surrounding the journey which left me wondering WTH is with this book?! Where are all the raids, robberies and death? Turns out it's a children's story for ages 9-12.🤪 Even then, not too much to keep the pages turning until the last couple of chapters.
