I'm a bit late but Happy Thanksgiving from my real life family to my Litsy family. Hosted Thanksgiving dinner part 2 last night for family that couldn't make it on Thursday. Was a blessed time.
Listening to this audio book which never gets old, while doing dishes. My husband cooks, Robert helps us both, I do dishes. In a couple of hours we join who is ever home today for a neighborhood gathering of pie at our neighbor‘ house. It‘s been a tradition since Robert was born. Three of his babysitters, two of whom have their won children now, all return for this event. #gratitude30 #family #FallintoReading #gobblegobble #turkeyday #neighbors
TURKEY, n. A large bird whose flesh when eaten on certain religious anniversaries has the peculiar property of attesting piety and gratitude. Incidentally, it is pretty good eating.

Happy Thanksgiving!
#FallIntoReading Day 22: A delightful story of a very hungry lion and all his friends who, for some reason (could it be because, well, the lion is… errr… hungry?), are diminishing, dwindling, disappearing from the face of the earth #GobbleGobble. A really fun book that would make for a wonderful read-aloud, with clever twists in the end. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-enR

This is my last year‘s turkey! I buy a fresh kill turkey. This year I paid $3.79/lb ($52.95).
Stuff the turkey and place breast side up and brush with melted unsalted butter. Cover with cheesecloth dipped into unsalted melted butter. Cover the wings and legs. Roast in slow oven 325 degrees 20 mins per lb. Baste a couple times. Remove cheese cloth during the last 1/2 for additional browning. Enjoy!
