The best Pride and Prejudice adaptation, in my opinion. And not only because it has Colin Firth in a damp shirt 😜 #FridayFunPhoto

Dragon Agreed 👍 7y
candyflossramparts Agreed! It's the only version long enough to really make the plot not feel rushed. This was also the first version I saw...and then there's wet Colin Firth. 😍 7y
CrowCAH I agree! By the book and told in 5 glorious hours! 😍 7y
DebinHawaii Yep! 💜💜💜 7y

Jenny Lawson does a great job of describing what it's like to live with chronic pain. Rheumatoid arthritis is deceiving because you look fine while the inside is fighting a bitter battle. #fridayfunphoto @Liberty @Litsy

I am grateful to my parents who are wise beyond their years. They encouraged education & reading. My first reading memory was reading Cinderella all the way from Chicago to Orlando, FL when I was 5. I was shouting more than reading. To this day, they still mimic my recitation. #fridayfunphoto @Liberty

LauraBeth ❤️ the picture of them 😀 7y
Godmotherx5 @LauraBeth Happy as they appear, the tux is distracting. My dad also boasts how he got a haircut beforehand. 7y

And I'm cheating a bit with this stack. I'm a bit of an Alison Weir junkie (not her novels, I can't really get into those, but her biographies). I don't think I really have a favorite, but I think I prefer her bios of Eleanor, Isabella, and Katherine Swynford because they aren't part of the Tudor time period (and don't seem quite as popular). #fridayfunphoto

LeahBergen I've wanted to pick up the Swynford one since I loved Anya Seton's Katherine so much (many moons ago 😉) 7y
hwheaties Love Alison Weir!! 7y

Dancing on My Grave | Greg Lawrence, Gelsey Kirkland
post image

These are not properly biographies, but I find that I read more memoirs than anything else. Gelsey captures both the light and the dark sides of ballet, more dark in the first, more light in the second. Her textual work translated into the choreography when rehearsing Macmillan's Romeo and Juliet is exquisite. #fridayfunphoto

(I'll rummage a bit and see if I can't find a proper biography)

LeahBergen I have her first one but haven't read it yet. I'm crazy about dance memoirs. 😀 7y
balletbookworm @LeahBergen it is so sad in places, how awful she is made to feel about her body, and the drug culture. Yikes! 7y

#FridayFunPhoto I love mysteries-from cozy, to dark & twisty thrillers, to police/FBI procedurals. One of my favorites (underrated in my opinion) is T.R. Ragan's Lizzy Gardner series. 6 books, pretty dark & graphic-so not for the faint of heart-but Lizzy is a kickass PI & the somewhat ragtag team of young women she assembles over the series to work for her are kickass too. Ragan's new 3-part Faith McMann series is good, but I miss Lizzy! 🔍🔫😱👍

DebinHawaii And by the way if you have Kindle Unlimited or Prime on Amazon, you can read the series for free! 👍📚❤️ 8y
BethFishReads I haven't read any of them 8y
DebinHawaii @BethFishReads Read them in order if you do. 👍 8y

Maybe not a true novel, but the art reminds me of a happy memory. My mom & I went to Zootopia for a girls' night. A real wild time. #fridayfunphoto @Liberty

NCNY This was such a fun movie. The sloth scene. Ha. Ha. Ha. 8y
Graciouswarriorprincess Love that scene, so true! 8y
