After 3 weeks of non-stop people & travel (a week at a conference, then two weeks of company), I am finally alone & can recharge. #introvertlife And I can finally show my most recent #bookhauls.

Top and middle row I got this week from BookOutlet. I love my new edition of Dracula. 🖤
The bottom row I just got yesterday from BN, which is having a fabulous 50% off sale of select titles.

jmtrivera I see at least 3 I'm dying to read! 3mo
wanderinglynn @jmtrivera 👍🏻😀 Which ones? 3mo
jmtrivera @wanderinglynn Mycroft Holmes, Daughter of the Pirate King, Clue, and maybe the Sherlock comic. 3mo

#AyUpAugust A book that‘s been on my #TBR for way to long🙄When a mother goes #missing on a crowded subway stop in Seoul, the family dynamics are put to the test. Told in alternating voices & perspectives an intimate look of family life/ obligations from a different culture. Another book I‘ll be looking for today, on my #BookShoppingDate with @MicheleinPhilly 💕💕💕

erzascarletbookgasm 🙌 I was just going to post this book! 😉 3mo
Cinfhen Have u read it @erzascarletbookgasm ?? I‘m getting ready to post a small parcel to you ~ hope it doesn‘t take too long 3mo

squirrelbrain Sounds interesting! Have a great shopping trip! ❤️📚 3mo
Cinfhen I‘m a little worried @squirrelbrain 🙄 @MicheleinPhilly is not known for her restraint when it comes to book enabling 😜 3mo
squirrelbrain @MicheleinPhilly sounds like a wonderful booking buying companion! Who needs restraint when buying book?! 📚📚📚🤣 3mo
Cinfhen Oh God!!! I see you‘re no better @squirrelbrain 🐿🐿🐿🐿 3mo
MicheleinPhilly Psssh. Restraint? Who needs restraint??? @squirrelbrain 3mo
squirrelbrain Exactly @MicheleinPhilly @Cinfhen - you need large tote bags, but you can leave the restraint at home! Post #bookhauls later please! 3mo
MicheleinPhilly @squirrelbrain Her husband might hunt me down and kill me. 😬 3mo
bullbunny I read tagged book from them, and enjoyed it. I would like to read more 3mo
gradcat Hope you‘re having a great time over here, @Cinfhen ! Good shopping 🛍! 3mo

I just registered!!! Who else is going this year?!? #BEA19 (I know I only tagged a few people but my memory is shot and I instantly forgot everyone who was there last years screen names 😝 but you all should come!)

ReadingRover @Captivatedbybooks you need to come this year!!! 10mo
Reecaspieces I will be there and so will @SilversReviews! Can not Wait! 10mo
TheSpineView Yes! I already booked my hotel! Hope to see some of my fellow Littens there. 10mo
See All 36 Comments
SilversReviews I‘ll register this week. 😍😍😍😍 Thanks, @Reecaspieces. @irre is going too. 10mo
LibrarianRyan No go for me. House and $$ problems. So only a miracle will let me go. 10mo
irre I‘ll be there. Can‘t wait!! Thanks @SilversReviews (edited) 10mo
tpixie I want to come! Almost convinced my book club, but they backed out. Any hotel suggestions? Do you bring an empty suitcase for #bookhauls ? 10mo
ReadingRover @Reecaspieces That‘s who I forgot! Sorry @SilversReviews I kept thinking silverreads for some reason. I can‘t wait to see you guys again!!! 10mo
ReadingRover @LibrarianRyan That means I‘ll just have to go visit you sometime soon in the next year!!! 10mo
ReadingRover @TheSpineView @SilversReviews @irre can‘t wait to see you all!!! 10mo
LibrarianRyan @ReadingRover things could change but I doubt it. Roofs second house to sell etc. it‘s going to be a tight year. But if things change I will Aletheia everyone. 10mo
ReadingRover @tpixie Yes definitely bring a rolling suitcase to keep in baggage to stash your books when you come off the floor then you can keep going back to collect some more. Lol I sound like Dr Seuss! For hotels I guess it depends on your price point. I live outside the city so I usually drive in. Email me msa3179@aol.com I can look into what‘s in a good area if you need some help. What‘s nice is that the subway goes right there now. 10mo
SilversReviews If anyone gets a heads up on book drops and author signings, can you share please. 10mo
mrozzz I‘ll be there again 🤗 10mo
ReadingRover @SilversReviews Yes we should start early on our coordination this year!!! I always wait till the last second to plan out my schedule- granted in the end I end up tossing it and going rogue but it‘s nice to know I tried! At least knowing the drops when I‘m in the building helps with that 😝 (I‘m also just really bad at keeping up with the whole #slack app thing 😬) 10mo
BookBabe I don‘t think I can make it for the week, but I might be able to do the weekend 10mo
irre @bookbabe I don‘t usually go to BookCon. I feel like it‘s mostly YA authors and I don‘t read much YA. Also, too many people. What‘s your experience? Are you going? 10mo
TheSpineView @BookBabe Yes, I an going to both BookExpo and BookCon. I already am registered for BookCon and will next week for BookExpo. 10mo
tpixie @ReadingRover thanks! If I get to go I‘ll contact you! You‘re sweet! And You‘re a poet and didn‘t know it!!! ♥️🥰🎉 10mo
tpixie @BookBabe if I come, I‘ll do the weekend too. I promised myself I‘d go this year, but a coworker is leaving so I may not be able to take off work!! 10mo
mrozzz Yes! Oops, I‘m just going on Saturday for BookCon @BookBabe 10mo
MrBook 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I'll be there! Looking forward to see so many #LitsyFamily members again! 🤗🤗🤗 Email me at jasonvigorito@gmail and I'll set up another Slack group. @ReadingRover @Reecaspieces @TheSpineView @SilversReviews @irre @tpixie @mrozzz 10mo
SilversReviews @MrBook It will be fun...I enjoyed meeting Littens last year. I met Jason, @Reecaspieces, and @irre Looking forward to meeting everyone else. Darn that I missed the early bird price. BTW....is the application that LONG one again? I wish I would have saved my answers from last year. @Reecaspieces and I discussed that. 😊 10mo
SilversReviews @ReadingRover I did my best on Slack.....I would LOVE to have my list ready. Someone on Goodreads did a good job sharing...I‘ll share if she puts up info again this year. I forget who it was, though. 😊 Old age gets you every time. LOL!!! 10mo
ReadingRover @SilversReviews Is early bird registration over already. I got the email and signed up that second but I posted here right after. That means it was only for like what 2 days? Not even? But on the bright side the app was much shorter this time! 10mo
ReadingRover @BookBabe No BookCon for me. My old ass can‘t make it through that many days. 😝 oh Bookbabe will we never meet! 🥺 10mo
BookBabe @ReadingRover 🥺😭 10mo
tpixie @MrBook thx! I‘ll get my info out to you if I can go!! 10mo
SilversReviews @ReadingRover I am not sure about the Early Bird - I thought it was just that one day. Good on the application not being so long. THANKS. 10mo
Mommamanzi I want to do freaking bad! 10mo
MidnightBookGirl I'll be there this year. Already book my train tickets and hotel (trying the Row this year). I'll be there from the 27th thru the 1st. 8mo
ReadingRover @MidnightBookGirl great! See you there! We can arrange to meet up. We‘ll exchange emails beforehand. 7mo

This should be me today (except for rain instead of snow), but I have “stuff” to do. Mostly fun stuff, but still... I‘d just as soon be sitting on the patio all afternoon feeling the cool breeze and reading from my latest #bookhauls - yes I picked up some more books at the “after sale” today. 😮

We should have “eight days a week” so there‘s one to set aside for reading and chilling.

Yay #thriftbooks haul! The amount of #bookhauls lately is getting a bit embarrassing 😅♥️ I can‘t remember who posted about the tagged book, maybe @Tamra but I read the synopsis and needed it immediately!

Tamra I listened to the audio and really enjoyed it. I hope you like it too! 🤞🏾😁 2y

I need to know where you buy your bookish items? Whenever I see #bookhauls or #swap posts I always wonder...where did they find that? So spill and tell me (links please) your go-to places to purchase gifts for book lovers?

I‘ll start... 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

Chelleo Think Geek www.thinkgeek.com 2y
Samplergal Great question! I‘ve always thought that too!!!! 2y
BiblioTori Amazon, Books a Million, Barnes&Noble, and of course Walmart. I‘d also shop at target for them but our closest one is HOURS away. 😭 2y
See All 38 Comments
LibrarianRyan think Geek, Game Stop, Book Outlet, @outofprint , tee fury, tee public, and I make quite a bit. 2y
DGRachel I usually get my non-book swap items on Etsy because there‘s a lot of unique things there and I try to find things that my match wouldn‘t run across on their own. 2y
lorannen Thinkgeek is great. Honestly, I mosey over to my awesome local indies, Ada's Technical Books & Café (www.seattletechnicalbooks.com), or Elliott Bay (www.elliottbaybook.com), in person about once a week. They've got excellent stuff. Ada's is much more than technical books, btw. My sci-fi book club meets there! 2y
readinginthedark I love searching for random surprises on Etsy! Also, sometimes I just do random searches on Google like “Jane Austen mug” and see what I find. And what @lorannen said, searching my local bookstores. (edited) 2y
AndreaReads I like to go to independent book sellers for special items. One particular store sells things from Out of Print and other bookish gifts—so that could be an option? (I would send you to their website, but it‘s practically nonexistent.) Otherwise I agree with what‘s been said so far. 2y
PenguinInFlight Etsy - www.etsy.com Out of Print - www.outofprint.com Amazon (of course!) Zazzle (for cool paper goodies) - www.zazzle.com and a new place I found but haven‘t actually ordered from yet, StoriArts - www.storiarts.com 2y
teebe Chapters, Amazon, Etsy, Redbubble, Society 6. Occasionally, Hot Topic. 2y
BibliophileMomma Amazon and Etsy usually. Sometimes www.outofprint.com too. 2y
Purrsistently @The.Book.Drunkard !!! 2y
Chelleo Haven‘t purchased yet but I have it bookmarked: bookbeau.com 2y
Chelleo @teebe Do you sell your items anywhere? 2y
AndreaReads Also, check out Boxlunch.com They sell Funkos and t-shirts and other fun bookish items. 2y
TheLibrarian Barnes and Noble, BookOutlet, Amazon, and Etsy. 2y
RowReads1 Chronicle Books https://www.chroniclebooks.com , the rest have mostly been said. 2y
CoffeeNBooks I can usually find some neat unique things on Amazon. 2y
FantasyChick I love looking up unique gifts on Etsy!! I find a lot there. I also like to find local crafts people in my area who are up to a challenge. Most of the mugs I send are all custom orders 😊 2y
Craftylikefox Www.outofprint.com www.storiarts.com www.ratherkeen.com 2y
tsutrav I love browsing the “Friends bookstore” or used shelves, with books for sale, at the local libraries. The selection and quality is all over the map so it‘s never expensive to try something new. 2y
Kimberlone My go-tos are @outofprint and Obvious State. Etsy is too intimidating for me 2y
LazyLimaLife The NYPL gift shop - https://shop.nypl.org/ 2y
benchley1 There is an awesome used book store in Fresno, when we visit the boyfriends mom it's the first thing we do! There is a dollar book store in a mall near here too. I try not to browse Etsy, dangerous 2y
LazyLimaLife Also museum gift shops. And does The Strand have an online store? 2y
Chelleo This post is gonna bankrupt me 💸💸 2y
cocomass 👀 I went ahead and saved this post to my notes 2y
mrozzz The Strand 🤓 2y
Chelleo @cocomass Right! If I get a few minutes in the next few days I‘ll make a clean list to share. 2y
teebe @Chelleo no, I had a Redbubble shop ages ago but nothing current. I‘ve been thinking about it though. (edited) 2y
Chelleo @teebe well, if you do, I‘d happily support you...your work is awesome! 2y
Suleika I get a lot of cool bookish items inside my Owlcrate box and then I check out their stores on Etsy (candles, bookmarks, magnets, mugs, prints etc) last box had a gorgeous scarf. Also you might want to check Society6 but you might go bankrupt lol! 2y
RaimeyGallant My family's bookshelves, to start. :) 2y
gilroyc Friends of the Library book sales, Amazon, Books a Million. And when I'm near, Barnes and Noble. Sadly, I'm having to pare down the library as we start planning a move... 2y
ApoptyGina69 I find fun things to add to swaps atBenFranklin (craft store) Target One Spot, B& N, and of course DIY/homemade! 2y
Alicebooks Costco can have bestsellers at good prices - I always browse the books section when I go. Besides that, I‘ll buy wherever, whenever! 2y

#NuYear #TheAircrashBureau “On October 12, 1972, a plane carrying a team of young rugby players crashed into the remote, snow-peaked Andes. Out of the forty-five original passengers and crew, only sixteen made it off the mountain alive. For ten excruciating weeks they suffered deprivations beyond imagining. And to survive, they were forced to do what would have once been unthinkable ...” I saw this in the cinema when I was 16. Incredible story

Oryx For some reason, this of one of those films that my sister and I watched about 30 times when we were teenagers... Probably a combo of only having videos taped off the TV and not much else going on in small town NI! But it is a really good film and amazing/harrowing true story. 2y
DeborahSmall @Oryx I watched it with my sister too. First time we saw it was at the cinema and we felt so grown up going for the first time 2y
Kimberlone Love the movie, have had the book forever and still haven‘t read. Going to get to it this year! 2y
Cinfhen So glad somebody choose this book!! It was so beautifully written and such an incredible story of courage and survival @Reviewsbylola I'm pretty sure I spotted this book in one of your #bookhauls!!!! 2y
Reviewsbylola You did! I am using it for one of the challenges this year! @Cinfhen (edited) 2y
Cathythoughts I had forgotten about this movie. I never saw it but the idea of it stayed in my mind for a long time 2y
