Trying to find books that will get me into the spooky season! If anyone has suggestions left me know! Sleep Tight is a detective driven story about a creepy murderer who is put to death where all expect the final chapter to be closed but instead his death starts a domino effect of horrible things that climax back where it all started.

So I am finished. 😂 There is introduction and setting the stage and then there is THIS BOOK. Obviously the beginning of a series, with many intriguing characters, complex back stories, fascinating world premises and sometimes a headache. 🙃 Saving the afterlife through magic. Quite the tall order. The jury is out if I will continue, but in the end I don‘t regret trying. #recentlyread #nospoilers #BOM

Hunger Games meets Harry Potter. The premise was supposed to be right up my alley and I was excited about the idea. I really hope this pans out, because so far this is not quite it. 😔 I will not give up yet. 🤞#bookofthemonth #bom #currentlyreading

Another good read for me and kept me guessing until the end. I love a good 1st chapter that keeps you coming back for more #bookspin completed 🙃

Captivating, if complex, story with more twists than I can count! There are serial killers, multiple personalities, cults, murder, kidnapping, and more! It can be kind of hard to keep track of all of the characters but other than that it‘s thrilling and kept my listening. Creepy in the best possible way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

There was a lot going on in this book! So many different components and intricacies. The detectives and investigation lead it to feeling less like an actual horror and more just suspenseful. I love when mental health is incorporated into a book as well. The ending was satisfying. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So, I ended up back in the hospital for the remainder of January, but now I‘m home again and have been for a week; I think I‘ve finally gotten past the “acute phase,” as the doc called it. Now, I‘m diving headlong into my TBR stacks and making up for the lost month. I am LOVING this twisty, dark thriller, though it‘s also SO unsettling. #sleeptight #jhmarkert #thriller #horror
