My wife and I love to listen to Agatha Raisin on a road trip and this book didn‘t disappoint 😊 So, quick question: how do you pick a speed for an audiobook? I tend to listen at 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, and 2, depending upon the material, the reader, the gaps, etc. I suppose my average pace is 1.5. Anyway, just curious what others do 🤷‍♀️

The Curate for the church is found dead! The number 1 suspect is the Vicar. Even though he doesn't care for Agatha Raisin, he is her best friend, Mrs. Bloxby's, husband. Once again, she interfers with the investigation. I found this one to be just ok. It kept me entertained while I cleaned the house, but it wasn't my favorite.

Loved the TV series so thought I‘d try a book. The Agatha in the TV series is much nicer and funnier. Think I‘ll stick with the TV series.

Agatha Raisin is an amuter sleuth who always ends up making the police mad at her for interfering with their cases. In Agatha Raisin and the Day the Floods Came, she ends up getting involved in another case. She's headed home when she stops on a bridge with everyone else and sees a bride floating down the river. She's intrigued when she finds out the bride had been frozen. I do like this series bc Agatha is kind of cranky but wears her ⬇️

Always happy to read a new Agatha Raisin story! It‘s been awhile. While I will always miss M.C. Beaton, I do think the new author has a decent grasp of the characters. It‘s a little different but not enough to make me stop reading. Very happy Penelope Keith narrated the audiobook. 4⭐️
