Finished a few weeks ago for #EBBR & as usual I returned my library book before doing a review.🤷🏻♀️I have to go with the others who think this one was a bit “meh.” I didn‘t find any of the mysteries that great or memorable except for Smelly Nellie which I did get correct, not because I know much about whales but because I caught a detail in the reading. I missed the ones about space & the axe handle but got the rest.

This is a very spicy, villain‘s dark romance. I rarely read romance, but I did enjoy the story. Not a retelling of Peter Pan. This is a modern tale with elements from Peter Pan woven into the story.

pickAfter Book 2, I wasn‘t sure I wanted to keep going with this series - it was just too similar to Book 1. But this was felt like part of the series but different enough, I didn‘t feel like I was reading the same book. I really enjoy how Swanson starts with the characters that‘ll just be in the current book and then brings in recurring characters. It works for me.

pickI had no idea how Swanson was going to turn The Kind Worth Killing into a series but he pulled it off! I think he did follow the template of the first book a little too closely but still a good read - and nice to get more backstory on Kimball

Finished last week for #BobWhiteBuddies this is the 17th book of the series & takes place right after the last book where there is a wedding to plan & all the Bob-Whites & their families are involved in some way. Trixie is Maid of Honor & Honey & Di are bridesmaids which means there are dresses to make & a wedding to plan, thanks to Mrs. Trask mostly. There‘s also a new Belden in town, Trixie‘s cousin Hallie who she ⬇️

I went to write my review of book 17 for #BobWhiteBuddies & realized I never reviewed #16 last month. Book 16 is a favorite of mine, I liked the mystery (even though it was pretty easy to solve) & how everyone got involved with determining poor “Janey‘s” identity. And any time we get to visit with Mrs. Vanderpoel, I‘m happy & want her to make me cookies.🍪This book marks the end of my hardback Trixie books so a bit sad.
