I was hoping to send this one out to @phantomx today (along with the #Round12 book), but it is horribly transphobic and I decided to switch to Gender Queer. #Round13 #GroupP #LMPBC

I‘m 240 pages in, but enough is enough. Severely disappointed in Winterson for her treatment of this character.

IndoorDame I‘m so sad to hear that! Hoping Gender Queer lives up to expectations. 2mo
phantomx No worries, take your time with the other book. I'm scrambling to get my picks read at the last minute 😖 2mo

I‘m so glad to have this back, and I cannot wait to sit and look through everybody‘s comments! Thank you for a wonderful experience and introducing me to some new authors! ❤️ #LMPBC #GroupL #Round12

Ruthiella I just read the short story and novella that preceded this title and am really looking forward to getting to the novel. I love the world Clark has created! ❤️ 2mo

I am 50 pages away from finishing Like A Love Story, and then I will write down all of my reactions and thoughts on the book and final thoughts in the journal. I'm going to send the book back to @Soubhiville this week, and I'll be offically done with Round 12 for LMPBC for GroupP #lmpbc #round12 #GroupP @WanderingBookaneer @bibliobard

WanderingBookaneer It mentions some of the ACT UP actions in Like a Love Story. 2mo

Hit the halfway mark for this book. There is a lot happening in this story that really pulls at my heart, and everyone's annotations adds a depth to the story--I can feel the emotion of the other readers from #GroupP who've read the book #Round12 @Soubhiville @bibliobard @WanderingBookaneer

bibliobard I haven‘t mailed my book back yet — just haven‘t had money or time. Hoping to change that this weekend 😩 2mo

This novel took me awhile to finish because.......I was bored out of my mind. 🤣 No really the writing style was getting on my nerves so my review is bias but it wasn't my type of novel. #LMPBC #GroupF #Round12 @magyklyXdelish @Alfrazier21 @Reynosa8701

SilversReviews A good one!! 2mo
monalyisha Hi, Sharon! I‘m leaving you this comment here, too, so it doesn‘t get buried in the comment thread on my #NewYearWhoDis sign-up post: You have to submit a list of Favorite Books (title & author) in order to have a valid registration. Take a quick peek at the piece I‘ve written on top for how to do that before submitting your form. I‘m going to delete your registration & you‘ll have to resubmit, unfortunately, as that‘s the most important part. 😬 2mo
monalyisha @sharread Also, just as a heads-up: your spot isn‘t saved! So haste is recommended. Sorry for the pressure! 2mo

This was an intense read for me, I could only read it in small amounts per day so it took me awhile to finish. This author at times writes utterly beautiful, opens up about everything brutally honest, I loved it. What a talented writer. 5 big ❤❤❤❤❤ #LMPBC #GroupN #Round12 @Hazel2019 @ncsufoxes @Amiable Thank you so much for sharing these fascinating novels.

I've been in a funk with reading lately, and I will be late in sending this pick back @Soubiville I am enjoying Like A Love Story though. I might not write as many comments in the book, but I will keep posting my progress. I have my bubble mailer ready! #lmpbc #round12 #lgbtq

Pickpick

Yes, this book needs some uninterrupted time. You have to let yourself get into it without disruption…and when you do, it is such a great read! It‘s fascinating and funny, really well researched, and gave me so much more perspective on what really took place back in those days. I was worried this would be dry and was somewhat intimidated by this book. It wasn‘t and I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

#LMPBC #GROUPN #ROUND12

Butterfinger The show Turn is based off this book and it is one of my favorite series. I think Netflix has it. 3mo
Amiable There is so much interesting history in this book—especially since we live right in the area where it happened! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂 3mo
ncsufoxes I‘m glad you enjoyed it. My problem is I don‘t have the time to immerse myself with 3 kids & grad school stuff. I‘ll try it again sometime in the future when things have quieted down. 3mo

When a smith mage creates a sword powered by secrets, she has to decide what she‘ll sacrifice to keep it from a dangerous warlord.

This was a fun read! I adore the magic-working-with-trade idea (Tamora Pierce‘s Emelan books), so I loved watching Ziva work her magic with her smithing. I liked how the romance was a bit of a slow burn. & I loved the sisters‘ relationship!

The ending felt too sequel bait-y to be really satisfying for me. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

ozma.of.oz Thank you #LMPBC #Round12 #GroupL for some truly enjoyable reads! 3mo
