I caught this on sale on Audible last week and I love the first three books, so I thought I'd check the little prequel novella out. It goes into more depth with Page's first involvement with Jaxon and his gang. It wasn't earth shattering, but if you like the series, you'll like having the background. I am excited that she wrote a 4th book I didn't know about for The Bone Season series.

I'm about 100 pages in the book I like it. My favorite part so far is when Michael is about to get pants, just in the page or two there is so much description I was able to vividly imagine the pantsing and the zap.

I like Jimena as a character but the plot was disappointing. Also, prison was very unrealistic in here. Neat incorporation of nymphs as adversaries, though. I like that the author brings in goddesses and mythical beings from their dark sides as well as their good sides. And Jimena made her choice, abruptly I should say, to stay!

This audiobook makes great use of sound effects to up the tension. I appreciated the little twist at the end, but once it changed to the kids in Horrorland, I was confused. Apparently, unlike most Goosebumps books, this is one you're supposed to read in order. So.. the first one is on hold.

Laughterhp Uh oh, I‘m planning on reading a horror land book too. I‘ll have to see what number in the series it is. 2y
night_shift @Laughterhp it may be ok? I think it's like the first 8-9 start with the kids somewhere else and it's a cohesive story and then they go to horrorland after in a second part. I think the last couple books are strictly in horrorland but 🤷‍♀️ 2y

Beautiful artwork and a very fun story. I enjoyed the characters and the unique manifestation of Alice's powers. There is some incredible panel breaking throughout the comic as well (demonstrated in one of the above images). #comic #powers #otaku #nerd #SailorMoon

Micheal Vey is about a 15 year old kid named Micheal, who has electric powers. Him and his two friends Ostin Liss and Taylor Ridley discover that he is not the only one with powers. They also figure out something is hunting them. The genre of this book is science fiction. If you like books that are about people with powers or action books, you would like this.

MissYaremcio Glad that you are enjoying the book! Thank you for coming to talk to me about this assignment! 4y

#3 High schooler Micheal Vey lives a normal life, but with a big secret. He was born electric, and can shock anything he touches (or anything that is connected to him by metal). His life was normal other than that, and no one other than his best friend Ostin knew up until the school bullies jumped him and he had to shock them in front of a cheerleader. He then comes to know that the cheerleader, Taylor, also has powers, the power to wipe and read-

creampiss (Continued in comments) minds, and the three of them (Micheal, Taylor, and Ostin) uncover a giant conspiracy about their births, how they got their powers, and other children with powers like them. They end up traveling the country with Micheal's former bully, and meeting the antagonist responsible for their powers, Dr. C.J. Hatch. If you like action, sci-fi, and conspiracies, this book will be perfect for you. 10/10. 4y
