#Movember #day3 #RescueMe This book was on my #TopReadsOf2017 list, it‘s a great thriller about a young girl that was abducted 3yrs ago, but it‘s also about the investigator the family turns to when all hope is near lost. Naomi is known as the Child Finder, she has a talent for locating & rescuing missing children, because she once was one herself. It has a lot of deep & dark emotion in the story, and does it very well.

Cinfhen I bought this book over the summer and I‘m looking forward to reading it 4y
Lizpixie @Cinfhen I hope you enjoy it as much as I did lovely💚👀🧚🏻 4y
Cinfhen I think there is a sequel 4y
Lizpixie @Cinfhen I didn‘t know that! Thanks, I‘ll have to track it down. I‘m kinda on a library only streak at the moment, money has refused to grow on my trees🌳 #moneystootighttomention (edited) 4y

Playing some major catch up as work was insane this week. 🤪

When #MoneysTooTightToMention cooking inexpensive meals at home can help. Here are six cookbooks from my shelves about cooking & eating on a budget. 💰🍽📚

Cinfhen Perfect 👌🏾 5y

(Day 12 - #MoneysTooTightToMention & Day 13 - #Panic)

*Given that the book begins with an elaborate plan to rob an armored car in front of an Atlantic City casino, we can assume that #MoneysTooTightToMention. But even the best plans can go awry. And when it does, the lost loot, which comes directly from the US Mint, will explode if not recovered in a short time. Now, #Panic ensues, as various entities go after that money. 💰💸

arlenefinnigan Double link. Nice! 5y
gradcat @arlenefinnigan Had to do it...no time the day before, so what‘s a Litten to do, but double duty! 😂 5y

Recently unemployed & newly single, Jules Larsen answers a mysterious ad as an apartment sitter at the Bartholomew. There are plenty of peculiar rules & mysterious residents, but #moneystootighttomention for Jules. I've read every Sager book & this is easily the best one. One of my favorite thrillers of the year.

Cathythoughts Nice review... must get this one so 5y
Cinfhen I wasn‘t that impressed from her first book that I haven‘t tried any of her newer ones. Maybe I‘ll reconsider reading this book 🤓 5y
arlenefinnigan Good advice in the title, there. 5y

Leftcoastzen @Cinfhen Riley is a dude. 5y
Cinfhen Ha!! I keep forgetting @Leftcoastzen 5y
Leftcoastzen @Cinfhen kind of a trend these days , with the thriller writers .😀 5y
vivastory @Cinfhen I recommend giving him another shot. He seems to be getting better with each book. 5y
vivastory @Leftcoastzen AJ Finn *cough* *cough* 😂 5y
Cinfhen Fair enough. Im willing to try another book by HIM 5y
Leftcoastzen Yeah , AJ Finn who has an interesting article published about him in the New Yorker back in February. (edited) 5y
vivastory @Leftcoastzen Yeah, I read part of it. I'm planning on reading the full piece after I read Finn's book. My favorite part of the article was Sophie Hannah's working title for one of her books, "You're So Vain, You Probably Think This Poirot is About You" ? 5y

I‘ve not yet read anything by former Greek Finance Minister (briefly) and economist Yanis Varoufakis. This little mini might be a good place to start #MoneysTooTightToMention #RedRoseSeptember

Pickpick

There are lots of books about growing up poor where #moneystootighttomention . This is the first one that came to mind. A classic!
#RedroseSeptember

Cinfhen Fantastic pick, I nearly choose 5y
Ruthiella @Cinfhen Angela‘s Ashes would be another good one. I find it interesting that most Littens have so far picked nonfiction titles.🤔 (edited) 5y
SitsWithaBook My all time favorite book. 5y

Sugar, a prostitute in 19th century London, is determined to lead a better life. #MoneysTooTightToMention , so she decides to find someone who can lift her out of her current circumstances. Enter Mr Rackham. Faber‘s epic story is spellbinding. I read this ages ago but can still remember descriptions of Mrs Rackham‘s wife and how dry Sugar‘s skin is. #RedRoseSeptember

arlenefinnigan Sounds an interesting read! 5y
ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled Me too! I still remember the descriptions of the lavender fields. Love this book! 5y
SauerPatch I‘m glad to see a (good?) review of this. I sometimes wonder what I missed out on because it was a hard DNF for me. :/ 5y

Librarybelle @arlenefinnigan It‘s a #chunkster , so a big commitment! 😂 5y
Librarybelle @ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled Faber seems to have a descriptive flare to his writing. 5y
Librarybelle @SauerPatch I did like this one! It‘s been at least 15 years since I read it, but I do recall Faber‘s language to be much more literary. Also, the length and the commitment to it seemed rather daunting. But, he somehow grabbed me in his story of Sugar. That‘s why books are so incredible - we each have a different experience with them. I definitely know some who have tried to read this one and just couldn‘t. 5y
Cinfhen I bought this book because @Centique has not stopped raving about it along with @Reviewsbylola & @Kalalalatja 5y
Kalalalatja And I won‘t stop until you read it @Cinfhen 😉 5y
Reviewsbylola Yup, one of my favorites! @cinfhen 5y

And Brexit is not going to make it any easier, just reading the Yellowhammer summary. Doom and gloom all round.

arlenefinnigan Mad how, when I was a kid, we sent presents to Romanian orphanages. Now we collect food for local food banks. 5y
