Happy #313Day to my favorite city. #DetroitLove #MittenLitten
It's been a heck of a week, Littens. I've spent the weekend recuperating and catching up on my reading and being incredibly lazy, but the best thing I did was go ahead and book a summer vacation. I cannot wait to get back up into the beautiful UP of #PureMichigan, and also can't wait to make vacation reading list!
Loved this twisty tale. Pic of sunset on #Lake St. Clair where I grew up playing with crawdads. #Mittenlitten #SavvySettings @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs
I'm a day late but this #litsylovevalentinesswap package is on it's way to a fellow #mittenlitten and due to arrive by 2.7

I love this question. Water has always felt an anchor to me, and many bodies of water have felt like "mine". I was lucky to grow up in Michigan, where no matter you are, you are never further than 6 miles from fresh water, and waterways both great and small- wild Lake Superior, the storied Detroit River, the small lakefront at my childhood summer camp- have become a part of me. What are your ties to the water, Littens? Is there water that's yours?
I‘m super proud of myself for starting a book which I‘ve had stacked by my bed for many months!

Not book-related, just feeling grateful about spending the day in such a beautiful space. 😍 #DetroitLove #MittenLitten #SeeMoreOpera
One of my favorite local Indie bookstores was advertising the release of this one today. It is a new to me author but I'm still super excited that 1. It takes place in Traverse City and 2. It's signed by the author. I am planning on saving this one until we start seeing actual 🌨❄☃️

This beautiful book is a love story on multiple levels- that of life-long partners, of friends new and old, and love of a community. Mostly it made me reflect on how lucky I am to have my own local lido (pictured here closed for cold weather). Detroit's Brennan Pool opened in the 1920s, and was the site of the US swimming Olympic trials in the 1950s. Now I get to spend my sunny days here, and I'm reminded not to take that for granted.
Finally went to the library for the first time in two years! It felt so good to walk into that gorgeous building; these stamps and stickers are making my day. ♥️📚❤️ #LibraryLove #DetroitPublicLibrary #MittenLitten #DetroitLove
