Catching up after a busy weekend!

9. #bookwithamagicalsetting - I‘m cheating a bit here as I haven‘t actually read City of Brass yet, but I will be reading it before the month is up! ✨

10. #longestbookyouread - goes to this epic, Lonesome Dove 🙌🏻

11. #bookyoufinallyreadthisyear - Pride & Prejudice is a classic I was ashamed not to have read until this year... but I finally did it and now I see what all the fuss is about ❤️

#allthebooksof2017

Reviewsbylola Now you need to read all of Austen‘s other books! 6y
Mdargusch Ha! I never knew you hadn‘t read P and P. 6y
Hollie I still need to read Pride and Prejudice. It was on my list for this year but I just didn‘t quite get to it! 6y
Pamwurtzler Now read P & P and Zombies. So funny! 😂🧟‍♀️ 6y
Cinfhen Can‘t wait to hear your thoughts.....I also choose 6y

#AllTheBooksOf2017 #longestbookyouread

I managed to get through the first four books in the Dark Tower series in 2017.

Wizard and Glass, at 1041 pages was my longest book of the year, but books 1-4 combined were 2562 pages! A sizeable chunk of my reading year 😄

AlizaApp Me too! Looking forward to Wolves of the Calla in 2018. 6y
MinDea I live this series but King is awfully wordy in most of the books! 😂😂😂 6y
Scurvygirl @MinDea 🤣 And each book gets longer and longer. Wordier...is that a real word, it just doesn‘t roll of the tongue right. 6y
MinDea 😂😂😂It is the only say to describe them!! 6y
Cathythoughts I‘d love to read this , 👍 6y

1144 pgs. Often seen as a trilogy. I don't know if I would have made it through all three parts if I hadn't read it with a group.

Aseleener I started it once, about 10 years ago, but had to stop bc I moved and it was a library book. I should give it another try. 6y
minkyb I know @Cinfhen The prompt is just to make us swoon or shudder 😂 6y

Blueberry @minkyb @Cinfhen I know what you guys mean. I want to read Lonesome Dove but it's size scares me. 6y
minkyb @Blueberry I cannot imagine physically toting around a book of 1,000+ pages‼️ 6y
Blueberry @minkyb Thank goodness for ebooks. 6y
Suet624 I loved this trilogy. A lot. 6y

A few of the Dark Tower series books came close, but the longest was Kvothe Pt 2. 😍

TK421 Such a great book! One day we will finally get book 3... maybe.😕 6y
sprainedbrain @TK421 Ughhh... I tried to put off reading book 2 as long as I could to shorten my wait a little. I failed. 😂 6y
LA_Mead Still waiting on part 3...I wonder when it will come out? 6y
Owlizabeth I‘ve been putting off starting this series until there‘s a conclusion, but I‘m not sure how much longer my willpower can hold. 6y
jfalkens @Owlizabeth you should join us for The #TNOTWBuddyRead we started today 😊😊 6y

I have read a lot of big books this year but the longest book I have read is Firefly Summer by Maeve Binchy, and was a great read. Although this may be overtaken later this month as I am hoping to read Ireland Awakening by Edward Rutherfurd which comes in at 944 Pages. #allthebooksof2017 #longestbookyouread

Andrew65 Hope today‘s hashtag isn‘t giving you nightmares @Cinfhen 6y
CarolynM I loved Maeve Binchy's books when I read them years ago. I have very happy memories of this one. 6y
Andrew65 @CarolynM Always great to escape with a Maeve Binchy book. 6y

#allthebooksof2017 #LongestBookYouRead

I‘m always surprised by Order of the Phoenix‘s page count. For years, I thought Goblet of Fire was the longest of the series, until I was corrected by a friend‘s son (Judah knows his Harry Potter!!). Here again, I‘m surprised—it wasn‘t Robert Jordan clocking in as longest book I‘ve read this year. Harry and the Order snuck into first there with an additional 7 pages.

BarbaraJean Although if I do manage to read the last Wheel of Time book before the year is out, Harry will be ousted. Memory of Light is some 900 pages. Which is why I‘m probably not going to manage it in the next 3 weeks, along with everything else I‘m trying to finish! 6y

My longest book at 832 pages was Winter by Marissa Meyer. I did the entire Lunar Chronicles series as a buddy read with a few friends on bookstagram. 🙂 What was your longest read this year?

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Is that an intentional typo? I must get back to the Lunar Chronicles, I'm super bad at remembering to keep reading series. I finished Scarlett some time ago... 6y
Kristyngansen @thegirlwiththelibrarybag Oops, no, not intentional! Thanks for pointing it out to me! 6y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Kristyngansen, not a character trait then ☺️😂 6y
tonyahoswalt I loved this series! 6y

Weighing in at just under 500 pages, this was the chunkiest book I read this year. It was also one of my favourites, and I recommend it to any fellow #teachersoflitsy (whether you work in SPED or not!)
