The artwork in the book is gorgeous - just look at the endpapers.

Pickpick

Review of Jodi Picoult‘s audiobook CHOICE (not title tagged since Litsy doesn‘t have): PICK.

What if cis-gender identifying males were the only humans (suddenly!) to have a uterus? (I think that is the accurate question considered here.)

Reminds me of once asking my husband what he would think if he saw only women in (favorite) movies and on television (ie ESPN) - he told me not to be ridiculous. His brain couldn‘t even comprehend.

This book brought me right back to the 2008 election and all of the mess that went down against women in the US election. I would love to see an update. #NFN21

I woke up yesterday to dark and miserable rain, and I thought my streak of beautiful weekday podcast walks was over. I put on my rain boots and headed to work with a lot of self talk about making do. No need though as it was bright and sunny again by the time I got home. I‘m enjoying the tagged audiobook, and listened to the pictured podcast on my walk.

Today I learned the concept of a home garden mission statement.

coffees I felt like that the other day when it was rainy, went out anyway and I felt really good I didn't break my streak! Nice progress, also, that podcast sounds interesting 😁 2y

Hard to believe #NonFictionNovember is almost halfway over. I need life to slow down so I can just read all the books.

I started the tagged book yesterday and tried the pictured podcast on my walk. A new one to me, and worth listening to others in the series.

Today I learned about citizen scientists and the role they can play in tracking birds and butterflies. I might look into it!

Bookwormjillk PS these are my neighbor‘s trees and he totally caught me taking pictures, but they‘re really pretty trees. 2y

I opened my first present to myself when I woke up this morning. These are more feminist icon bookends from getarchd! I was all set to get the Louisville retro city skyline (those are great, too), but then they came out with five more feminist icons March 1, so I had to scoop up AOC and HRC!

Here‘s a link. They have these, the city ones, some bookish text, and do ones with custom photos. https://getarchd.com/collections/bookends

Mehso-so

I picked this up about 4,5 years ago, give or take. If you're interested in politics it's a good read. If you want to know why Hillary has the hairdo she has, it's also very informative. I just had the feeling that the real ugly stuff was glossed over, which is a pity because that would've made this a pick for me.

It Takes a Village | Hillary Rodham Clinton

#InspiredNewYear Day 26: We need to be #Mindful that in most everything that we do, it takes a village to make it happen. Review of this gorgeous picturebook is forthcoming. Happy to have found it on Overdrive.

TheKidUpstairs It's unfortunate how many of us have gone so far away from the idea of it takes a village. Maybe these times if greater isolation will lead to more pull towards community/ village thinking 🤞 3y

It wasn‘t MY fault that the AT&T store only allowed three customers in at a time and it was too cold for me to wait outside for my husband. And that the used bookstore down the street was warm and cozy so I had to spend extra time browsing in there. Which resulted in this impressive #bookhaul.

#blameitonthehusband 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nute No, that‘s not your fault at all. That, my Dear, is the proper alignment of the stars!💫 ✨ 😜 3y
