The Traveler
The Traveler: An Event Group Thriller | David Golemon
7 posts | 2 read | 2 to read
267,000 BCE. The continent was its own world, untouched by the planet-wide catastrophe that ended the reign of the dinosaurs over sixty-five million years before. A traveler arrives in the jungles of this ancient world who will fight to survive carnivorous creatures in a land never meant for human kind. In another time and in a land far distant, men and women struggle to recover from the loss of so many of their own in a battle. Inside of this Group, Colonel Jack Collins has summoned the best of the best from the most secretive organization in the United States government, The Event Group, to help him in his quest. The new mission is to recover one of their own: to bring home a lost soldier from a world that existed in the distant past. To accomplish the impossible, Department 5656, the Event Group, will have to travel to a place and time far removed from their own world - almost 300,000 years in the past. The trail to find the technology to accomplish time travel will be ripe with treachery and murder as the Group fights to bring home their friend, Captain Carl Everett, a man that was lost in a battle to save the world. This will be a fight that if lost, will change the very history of the planet and thus our present.

Hello Litsy Friends! 🙋🏻 It‘s been a few weeks since I logged on and it seems I missed many exciting reviews and updates. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I‘ve been occupied and haven‘t actually read any books since August 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I noticed one of my auto-buy authors had a new one so I snatched it up along with Dan Brown‘s new novel. 💁🏻 I‘m nearly done with this one so look for a review soon (hopefully) 🙃

I want to visit The Traveler Restaurant in Union, Connecticut. They give you a free book with your food. And there is a bookstore downstairs!

Suzze Sounds like perfection! 7y

All packed and ready to go for the weekend. I wish this trip was for fun, but unfortunately it's for a memorial service for my uncle, so it's probably going to be emotional. But, I have my Kindle to keep me company in the hotel room, so that something. I'm sure going to miss my hubs and my dogs, though. 😕

GabrielleDubois The time spent thinking of a person we loved, is not easy, but finally, remembering the good things this person did or even one word she told us that was good for us, isn't a time lost. And above this, sometimes a time of silence that we don't manage to have during our days always too short, allows us to think about us. Best thoughts, Gabrielle. 7y

Seshat Ooooh! The Coffee Trader by Davis Lisa for Amsterdam. 7y
Bookish_B @bookdrunkard78 I have read that one 😊 I was hoping for more like that 👍🏼 7y
janeycanuck No book recommendations but I had the best eggs Benedict of my life at a tiny little restaurant in Amsterdam called Gartine. Reservation highly recommended. And if you're a foodie, look up Hungry Birds food tours. We loved ours. (edited) 7y
janeycanuck Oh, and if you're able to rent a car, consider adding Melk Abbey and the town of Durnstein to your itinerary. The abbey has the most amazing library and Durnstein is rumoured to be the inspiration for the Grimm brothers' "kingdom far far away" 7y
Bookish_B @Seshat The Coffee Trader looks great. I've added all three suggestions to my TBR list. Thank you! 7y
Bookish_B @janeycanuck thank you so much! I am making note of all the suggestions and will investigate further. If you think of anything else I am all ears (or eyes!) 7y
janeycanuck @Bookish_B if you really want to bore yourself, I blog my travels at janeycanuck.com - there's a "travels" page with links to the posts. 7y
