The Magpie Society: Two for Joy | 
pickThis was more mysterious than the first one and that part I liked. But there was also a bit too much drama sometimes - but you can understand that in this genre.
I wasn't really surprised by the last twist, I had suspicions and could see it coming.

pickThe second book and I really enjoyed it, thrilling and gripping. I was totally unprepared to find out who the killer was. I do like this kind of settings in a boarding school.
so-soThe ending from the first book left me in a rage but the kind of rage that still wanted to know wtf had happened - and I have those answers now - and those answers were worth it until the last chapter.
There was *a* good book lurking in this duology - a few of those unnecessary red herrings could have been edited out - and it could have been wrapped up in one book.

After a brilliant family celebration with all our nearest & dearest, this Boxing Day evening I‘m snuggled up on my in-laws back deck with my #AussieSecretSanta book trying to dodge my nieces & nephews and get some peace & quiet!
