First read of 2024.
This was such a good read with so many powerful messages and insights. The narrative is neatly interwoven with anecdotes of the period giving you a glimpse of the horrors that happed during the holocaust. Yet the message about hope and strength is very clear. The world is full of cruelties but there is always some kind spirit around!!

Three sisters survived the horrific conditions of Auschwitz with courage, determination and a promise to stick together. A very powerful and moving story. Highly recommend this and the previous two books in the series.

Incredible true story. Not the best written book, but an entire generation of Holocaust survival is revealed in this book.

Brilliant, as expected.
Morris has the ability to write the journey of her characters in a way that you feel as if you're there with them.
This felt a little rushed towards the end, and it was my least favourite of the series. TTOA is outstanding, but Cilka will always have a piece of my heart.
Very well written, quick paced, and emotional.

My boyfriend and I visited Auschwitz-Birkenhau several years ago. It still haunts me when I talk about it or read any books about it.
If you ever get the opportunity to visit, do. It's the most surreal, heartbreaking, and terrible place you will ever visit. Passing through the gates with those famous words is awful. And the gas chamber is horrific.

I'm currently reading the tagged book, and it's brought so many memories back of our visit. 😔

This was recommended by a student! It was a pretty powerful read. I haven't read any other Heather Morris books, but I will now. I felt the writing style was a bit sparse and straightforward.... but because this was a true story, and a gut wrenching one at that, maybe that was a good thing!?

The third instalment from the author Heather Morris .. who wrote The Tattooist of Auschwitz!! This was by far my favourite of the three books (mostly for the somewhat happy ending). I wanted to eat this up in a day but at the same time I enjoyed taking my time .. such an emotional book!

Started listening to Three Sisters now that the library hold has come in.

This book was heartbreaking but also so uplifting and hopeful! The fact that it‘s based on 3 real sisters who went through these horrific experiences made it that much more poignant. And I love that the story continues after the war to let us see how the experiences shaped them. The narrator was great as well and the afterward was spectacular. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This wasn't my favorite in the series so far, but still a good story. I'm glad that Heather Morris is taking the time to research and tell these experiences that would otherwise die with those that lived them.

The tale of the three Mellar sisters, Sibi, Magda, & Livi, based on a true story. Some creative liberty is taken, but it remains primarily accurate & so hard-hitting that it is at times incredibly difficult to read. The atmosphere & characters are mesmirizing with many moments that I felt my breath stolen by the narrative. The power of the sisterly bond is beautifully displayed. There is so much hope in this tale. Incredibly moving.

My heart has been torn to pieces and sewed up again by the words of Heather Morris.

Another brilliant entry from Heather Morris. This chronicles the lives of three teenage sisters who find themselves sent to Aushwitz-Birkenau as WW11 rages across Europe. Originally from Slovakia, the sisters survive years of starvation and hard labor at the hands of the Nazis. These stories always both enrage and amaze me. Heather Morris is a talented writer who weaves these tales of true people into a fictionalized narrative. Always a pleasure.

Absolutely loved this book! Worth a read!

Congrats to Heather Morris on the release of her new book, Three Sisters! This book intersects with The Tattoo of Auschwitz and Cilka‘s Journey. This is a tear jerker and takes the reader not only into Auschwitz but also to Israel. Such a good read

This is a true story told to Heather Morris by two of the three sisters who are still living in Israel with their extended family.

She masterfully details the atrocities and the unimaginable suffering that traumatized and took the lives of so many. Cibi, Magda, & Livi show the world that hope can perservere even in the toughest of times. ⁣

This author has written another heartfelt, painful, soul touching story of how the Jews were treated. What they endured and how some survived. Another book based on hundred percent on facts. Make sure you read everything at the end. All the things, posts, Afterwards from each person. The one from Livia Ravek really touched me. This author did a great job capturing the essence of these three sister's journey through hell and back. Job well done.
