I‘m a very avid reader and I leave reviews for every book I read unless it‘s a very bad book. I don‘t like to leave ones that may hurt the author‘s feelings. I also listen to music while I read. I pop in my earbuds and tune out everything and get lost in a good book. I love books that make me feel emotions. All emotions.

The Underground Library

I can't believe this is my first book by this author. It was excellent. Very well written and researched. Based on a true story. One that I had no idea existed. To move a library underground was such a great thing to do. It helped people who did not have access to it before. And there is the fact that it was bombed and needed to be moved....
One of the best I've read this year.

CatLass007 I haven‘t read this yet but I want to. I have read The Little Wartime Library by Kate Thompson. According to the description of both books they are fictional accounts of the same true story. 3d
Lsmoore43 @CatLass007 I haven‘t read that one. I may have to look it up. This one is so good and yes based on a true story. Well researched. 1d

Ms. Bratt captured my heart with the two women in this book. The two that were at the mercy of brutal men. Especially the one being held in the basement. Good grief what that poor woman is going through and she needs to be found. Get her away from that horrible man.

I never thought I would enjoy this genre of book before but oh my I do. There is everything in them. Laughter, cringes, excitement, light horror, thrills, chills, and tears.

This book takes on another ride with the Faes. You get get to know a bit more about each character. More about their lives, fears, and loves. More about their strengths and weaknesses. More about their truths.

A Heart Like Home

Way to go Christine. All of your books are wonderful but this is the best one yet. It's not just an emotional story it also has some chuckles added in along the way. While it did make me weep bit ugly tears there was also parts that made me laugh out loud. This book will be in my top twenty for the year for sure.

Megan Miranda is an auto go to author for me. She writes books that always keep me guessing. Always have me turning the pages. I've not been disappointed by her yet.

This is a wild ride getting to know the Holt family. Gage, Caden, and Hazel. Hazel comes back to Mirror Lake after their dad dies. For his memorial service. Then things take a sharp turn for her. For them.

All We Were Promised

This is such a beautifully written story. Yes it's filled with lots of sadness and angst. It has a lot in it that might make you feel uncomfortable. It might even teach you something. It has all the things that I love in a good historical novel. It's emotional. Heartwarming in many ways. The way these women stood together to fight for one of them, and for each other.

I've enjoyed this author's books before and this one was very good also. Not exactly edge of your seat thriller or a mystery, but more of a story of friendships. Some tense moments yes, but friendships that are strained.

I've found a new author for me. Though she has written a few books I've not read any until now. This book was great. Part history, thriller, mystery, love story, and a touch gothic.

I enjoyed this book from the very start. It is one of the best I've read. This book has a lot going on and I highly recommend it.

WOW... Just WOW! This is Ms Hepworth's best book yet and she writes wonderful books. This one will blow your mind. A MUST READ for thriller lovers.

We start out in a Psychiatrist's office. Someone is telling him about things that happened in their life. Throughout this story you hear more and more about this sad life. About the abuse she endured. About the horrendous things that were done to her.

This was my first book my Steve Cavanagh and it will not be my last. This is possibly my favorite thriller ever. Hands down in the top ten. It's so good.

Two women meet in a bar. Not the start of a joke either. They actually met in a group therapy session. They have both been through something very traumatic.

This was one of my BOTM choices and I received an ARC vial NetGalley.

This was probably the most aggravating book I've read in like forever. It was interesting but a bit on the dramatic side and repetitive in many places. It's hard for me to say exactly how I feel about this one. It was ok and the thing that saved it for me was the ending. I loved the last two chapters of this book so much. I also still think Lucy was guilty.... Maybe.

I listened to both audios. Parts 1 and 2 in graphic audio. They may very well have ruined regular audio for me. It was amazing. Like watching a movie without the actual screen in front of me. Just in my head. I highly recommend everyone giving this a try at least. If not this book then any book that has it and is in a genre that you love.

I read this for a blog tour so can't leave my review until the 31st of this month.
I can say though that it's one of the best books I have ever read. I learned some things that I didn't know and that is always a plus
This book is about Frances Perkins. The first female cabinet member. What she did for the people back then was nothing short of wonderful.

A big FIVE star read for me.

This was a first for me by this author. I was intrigued by it and felt she did a pretty good job of making a thriller/mystery. While it did have just a bit about conspiracy theories in the beginning of some chapters it did by no means take away from the story.

First let me say that I listened to the audio of this book while reading along. The narrator, January LaVoy, did an excellent job with this story. She made it come alive.
A young girl takes off from Jamestown after some pretty awful things happened. She runs through forests and floats on water for the most part. She's totally alone and goes back and forth between her running and before she left.

The Joseph family are a typical dysfunctional group but also there for each other most always. The older two boys tend to get into fights with each other but one word from their mother and they break apart and go on about their business.

This is a stunning book. A story about family and how people in families sometimes treat each other. Or make a difference in children/grandchildren. This one starts out with Tempesta in her father's bedroom after his death. Her brother Wal is also there.

This is a complex story that has so many thrills and twists you will think everyone is guilty. Maybe everyone is guilty in ways. Guilty of things that they don't want anyone else to know. But who is the murderer? Who actually killed? It could have been anyone. Well anyone except one of the children. Or the dog.

This the second and final part to the Hamilton Place series.
Roses in December by Mark A Gibson has written a very emotional and endearing story that will hit you in all the right places. It's a love story and full of sadness also. This story is about Jimmy and Becca's son James. Her life after losing Jimmy and marrying Mack Lee. Raising James and making him think Mack Lee is her father.
