Thank you so much Ashley @BookwormAHN for the awesome package! I cannot wait to dive into some fun new reads right in time for the season, use my new tea, pens and washi tape and I love that bracelet and the cause it goes towards!
The chocolate comes just in time for me to set up my bookfair! Much needed! 🥰
After a slowish start this one really picked up…& then it slowed down again…& then…you get the idea. Pacing was uneven in an otherwise intriguing story about witches & magic & more that wraps up nicely while also making it very clear this is the first in a series. It reminded me of Half Bad in showing the lengths people go to protect someone, how the line between protection & abuse is easily blurred. So uneven but good enough I‘ll keep reading.
This one has been sitting on the shelf for awhile…that changes today.
I have to say, 80 some pages in and this one feels a lot like Half Bad and I mean that in a good way—dark, intense, a real fine line, and maybe a totally blurred one at that, between good/bad, right/wrong. I hope the remainder of the book holds up.
July 25 #SummerSpecial ThreadTheNeedle Since I love to do Embroidery and Cross Stitch, I loved the cover of this book. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Not my usual read but absolutely loved this. A coming of age story of a young witch who is being brought up in contemporary London by an aunt determined to have her believe that her magic is sinful. Complex world building, strong teenage friendships really made this for me (please excuse my reading buddy in the background!)
This was a wonderful read to lose myself in whilst at the hospital for my dad's many tests. This is a book of magic, friendship, coming of age and I found myself totally sucked in. This #chunkster managed to make me laugh and tear up.
Fantasy lovers will scoop this one up. Clever world building and some lively and dangerous witches here. Kind of a twisted mother-daughter-sister-aunt thing going on that makes for some fun reading.
What a fantastic book! I really enjoyed the world-building - the library and the witch club in particular. Beautifully written and emersive. One of those stories that will continue living on in my mind for some time.
Cuddled up with a hot Spiced Ribena fighting a stinking cold so thought I would start this beauty. I've been coveting this book for a while so treated myself. Hope everyone is having a cozy, calm Sunday

A fun fantasy novel! The character development was excellent. There were a few characters that were amazing. I loved Attis so much, he was awesome.
However, I didn‘t really buy into the magic system. There were lots of really cool magical elements - such as the library and lots of other fun, quirky things, but the rules around how the magic system itself worked, felt a little tedious to me.
Just sharing some of my most recent Goldsboro monthly books. These spayed edges are fire and they just keep getting better!

This was an interesting first book and I'm assuming there will be more. There's still lots that needs to be devloped which I'm hoping will become more clear in future books. I love the idea of a magic library though, that sounds amazing. The plot is a slow, steady burn to a very dramatic climax to the story. Anna may be the main character but my favourite had to be Rowan, she's instantly likeable and fun. #Netgalley 4*
