Anderson‘s tales are often sad, but this one I remember being one of the saddests I‘ve read as a child! (Beautiful nontheless but also cruel and sad)
My subconscious sent me to Hans Christian Andersen for this #tinydancer prompt. And it was right! The poor one-legged tin soldier falls in love with the paper ballerina who also appears to have only one leg. They perish in a fire. 😩😭💔
Man, Andersen's stories are sad. Beautiful, but sad! They disturbed me as a child. Apparently my subconscious hasn't recovered. 😉

It's expected to hit 37°C/99°F in Melbourne on Christmas Day... it's not as hot today (?) so I'm still happily drinking hot tea... out of my new birthday mug from my Mum!
