I am Princess Meredith NicEssus. Legal name Meredith Gentry, because Princess looks so pretentious on a driver's license. I was the first faerie princess born on American soil, but I wouldne(tm)t be the only one for much longer... Merry Gentry, ex-private detective, now full-time princess, knew she was descended from fertility goddesses, but when she learned she was about to have triplets, she began to understand what that might mean. Infertility has plagued the high ranks of faerie for centuries. Now nobles of the both courts of faerie are coming to woo Merry and her men at their home in exile in the Western Lands of Los Angeles, because they will do anything to have offspring of their own. Taranis, King of Light and Illusion, is a more dangerous problem. He tried to seduce Merry, and failing that, raped her. He's using the human courts to sue for visitation rights, claiming that one of the children is his. And though Merry knows she was already pregnant when he took her, she can't prove it. To save herself and her babies from Taranis Merry will use the most dangerous powers in all of faerie: a god of death, a warrior known as the Darkness, The Killing Frost, and a king of nightmares. They are her lovers, and her dearest loves, and they will face down the might of the high courts of faerie - while trying to contain the war, to keep it from spreading to those innocent humans who are in very real danger of becoming collateral damage...

Bk30 of #LittensDressedInBlood Bk8 of #OutstandingOctober & Bk11 of #Scarathlon2021 #Screamathon #RoaringWolf #SpookoweenReadathon #Wickedathon #HalloweenReadathon #ItsBritneyBingoWitch #BookishBingo #OutOfComfortZoneBingo #BookspinBingo #Pageathon #ReadItAgainSam is done. The last in the Merry Gentry series(so far I hope)it‘s much better than the last!Wraps up the story so far with the birth of the triplets(yeah I know)& the death of a favourite.

Lizpixie 856pts #TeamSlaughter It‘s not a bad book but you gotta wonder, did she go back over the details of the series before writing this? There are so many discrepancies in not just this one but all through the series with differences in people, abilities, magic & places. I thought writers had like plot boards or journals so they don‘t forget this stuff! (edited) 2y
TheSpineView Sounds like sloppy writing. 2y
TheAromaofBooks Great job knocking out this series!!! 2y

This is Merry Gentry #9. It's supernatural and it's basically porn. There is something unputdownable about them, though. 💖📚

The Merry Gentry books aren't the most stellar example of paranormal romance out there (I've read better trust me), but I'm fond of them for some odd reason, so this book was deffo one I had to read. It's just sad that I didn't quite like it: aimless plot in the first 3/4s of the book, then a climax that didn't make much sense. If there's a sequel, I hope it's better than this one.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Sad.... but I'm attempting to give up Anita Blake for about the exact same reason. So far I have not picked up the last one, and I've managed to stay on the bandwagon. I feel like I need an Anonymous Group for support though....every once and awhile I still think, I should pick that up, maybe it got better...and then I remember that I said that about the 3 before that without any luck. 7y
kammartinez @Riveted_Reader_Melissa These books are like junk food tbh: we know they're bad but we can't help ourselves 😅. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @kammartinez But some junk food series are more fulfilling than others. LOL. Hopefully Merry will soon satisfy your cravings with her next installment. 7y
