If you had your Instagram account hacked, how did you get it back?

ddbookreviews If this happened to you how did you fix it ? 2y
wanderinglynn This hasn‘t happened to me but there‘s a section in this article about recovering hacked accounts: https://www.androidauthority.com/get-back-instagram-account-1089473/ 2y

This ad showed up on my Instagram feed. Before I learn more, have any Littens looked into this?

Lauram If not, I‘ll do a deep dive and report back. 3y
mcipher Not me but I‘m curious! 3y
Lauram @mcipher I‘m on it! 3y

Lauram @mcipher It doesn‘t appear to have launched yet. You‘re placed in a cohort to talk about a specific book with discussion facilitated by AI. I‘m in 1 book club (more than enough) and any book discussion more than 5-6 sentences is torture for me. I just want to read and look at Litsy photos. 3y
BarbaraBB I‘ll take a pass too and stick to Litsy reviews! 3y
mcipher AI? Not sure I love that - book club is for being social with people. Thanks for checking into it. It‘s kind of a cool idea I guess? 3y

QUESTION: Are we allowed to post our Instagram accounts for people to follow?

wanderinglynn I don‘t see why not. Lots of people have posted their IG names or blogs. 4y
Pageturner1 Well mine is @rungrl1 4y

After a spectacularly bad week, I saw a post on Instagram this morning from my local Barnes & Noble featuring gnomes. Y‘all know I can‘t resist giving a gnome a home. I‘m feeling much better now. 😆 I have clean up from yesterday‘s construction to do before I can settle in for the #readathon, but hopefully I‘ll get back to my books soon. 🤞🏻

kspenmoll Adorable! 4y
vivastory Love the noir collection! 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I hope this week is better 💕😘 4y

Tamra Adorable! 4y
Caterina I hope you get plenty of time to read and have a much better week next week! ❤️ Have the read many of the noir books in the picture, and would you recommend them? 4y
TheBookHippie I‘ll make it to post Monday. Sorry I‘ve been housebound ..influenza en masse over here 😷😷😷 Love the gnome!!! I hope your week is far better coming up!!!! 4y
DGRachel @vivatory Thank you! I‘m hoping to collect them all, but there‘s about 100 already with more coming out every year. 😱 4y
DGRachel @Caterina I‘ve read four of the collections so far. Some are better than others, just as some stories within each book are better than others, but overall, yes. I would recommend them. I was surprised by how much I loved Montana Noir. I thought Sydney Noir and Baltimore Noir were very good, too, but I was disappointed overall by Istanbul Noir. I hope that helps. 4y
DGRachel @TheBookHippie I‘m sorry everyone is sick! Don‘t worry about rushing to the post office. It‘s just my book coming back to me and doesn‘t have to be sent on to anyone else so take your time. There‘s no stress with that one. 😘 4y
TheBookHippie @DGRachel there is a bad strain running through the school systems here. I‘m just glad none of us had to go to ER. Apparently a lot of kiddos did. We just set up here grandson and all and rest hydrate rest hydrate 😷. SNOW arrived as well! It seems everyone had a nuts week! 😭 4y
Lizpixie I have Sydney Noir, Boston Noir & Manhattan Noir, I‘d love more but there‘s so many I don‘t know where to start!🤷🏻‍♀️ 4y
DGRachel @Lizpixie I started with cities and regions I was interested in and new releases. 😊 4y
MicheleinPhilly Ooooh, love your Noir collection! 4y
LeahBergen Look at your great Noirs! ❤️ 4y

Sace Thanks for sharing this article. I've been struggling with reading coupled with social media lately. For me, reading challenges and social media sharing had started to take the joy fromy reading. I have stopped tracking my reading in any form and I now spend less time on Litsy. I am starting to enjoy my reading more. 5y
That-Bookish-Hiker Great article! I don‘t follow bookstgram accounts because I feel like it‘s all about how pretty the picture can be or it‘s an ad and I can‘t trust those reviews to be honest. That‘s why I was so excited for Litsy. Its about books and not about how many followers a bookstagrammer can get without interacting with all their followers. On litsy I can interact with everyone easily and I trust the reviews on here. 5y
Birdsong28 @RestlessFickleBookHoarder Its ok glad you liked the article. Just do what is right for you. I do challenges but I don't read to fill those challenges if the book I am reading fits I use it for that prompt. I can also see how you could feel pressured as some people have more time to read and therefore read more so you feel you need to keep up. I sometimes see people's stats and think I should be reading more than I do but how I read suits me. 5y
Birdsong28 @That-Bookish-Hiker I am not on instragram but I heard about them. Yes Litsy is such a safe and welcoming space and it doesn't tolerate people being like that, but I don't think many are, it's about quality not quantity for me and I think that is the general consensus 5y
Sace It's my own personality that gets in my way when it comes to challenges and social media interactions 🤣 5y

Do you get inspired to read and buy/burrow books because of a book „influencer“, for example someone who blogs, posts on Instagram or YouTube?

I have found one person who also attends university in Germany on Instagram and I have now bought 3 books this week alone that she recommended.
