Such a fun, cracking read. Unlikeable characters and despicable situations galore!

readinginthedark I‘ve always admired how varied Kidman‘s roles are. I haven‘t seen this one, but she was amazing in The Hours, and it was so different from her other parts! 6y

It sounds bad when I say this out loud, but this was such a fun look at a female sociopath. It's done with verve and black humour. In a way, it's also a look at the narcissism encouraged by mass media and celebrity culture. The movie was brilliant and I think it's one of Nicole Kidman's best performances. She seems to have relished playing this character. #evilwoman #rockinmay @Cinfhen

Hobbinol I'll have to read this and I loved Kidman's performance too. I think the writer was Salinger's girlfriend when she was very young. 7y
