Not sure I'll rush right out to read the next in this series, but I mostly liked this #nunlit pick, despite some dated bits and a solution I partially sussed out. I wish that modern mysteries were as short and moved as briskly.

#NunLit #TBRTarot #192025

A short mystery published in 1977. While some of it felt dated and I didn‘t particularly love the MC it was an engaging mystery.

Finally had a few hours to devote to this short mystery. I liked it and look forward to watching the adaptation that aired in 1978 as part of the ITV Armchair Thriller series (and later on PBS Mystery!). YouTube link in comments below.

Librarybelle Thanks for the link! 1w
kspenmoll Thanks for the link! I enjoyed this one too- quite surprised with the end! The movie was fun- old time effects-dramatic music, sounds that go bump… (edited) 1w

Hope you‘ll be joining me for our next pick, Quiet as a Nun by Antonia Fraser—a “mixture of puzzle, excitement, and terror” according to P.D. James. Read the book sometime in October, post your review &/or any thoughts along the way and be sure to tag the group.

All are welcome!

Went to the library book sale and scored our October #NunLit book. If I go back tomorrow it is $5 a bag. Might be able to get some good books for my LFL which I hope to have up by mid May.

jlhammar Yay, awesome find! Love that cover. 7mo
