The Narrator
The Narrator | Michael Cisco
4 posts | 3 to read
"Michael Cisco is of a different kind and league from almost anyone writing today, and "The Narrator" is Cisco at his startling best." -CHINA MIEVILLE, author of "Perdido Street Station" "An extraordinary story of war and the supernatural that combines the creepiness of "Alien" with the clear-eyed gaze of "Full Metal Jacket." Like "The Other Side" if it included soldiers who could glide over the water, a mysterious tower right out of early David Lynch, and infused with Kafka's sense of the bizarre. Destined to be a classic." -JEFF VANDERMEER, author of the "Southern Reach" trilogy ""The Narrator" is not a subversive fantasy novel. It eliminates all other fantasy novels and starts the genre anew. You must begin your journey here." -NICK MAMATAS, author of "Move Under Ground" and "Love is the Law"

Stephen Fry. I‘m jealous of all who can download the HP books read by him. I live in the US and can only get Jim Dales. I love Fry narrating classical fiction, Forester, Wilde, Conan Doyle, Chekov. His narration of his own books like, Mythos, Heroes and Troy are great. He does comedy well, like Hitchhiker‘s Guide, and Wodehouse. All round perfect narrator. #sundayfunday

BookmarkTavern I‘ve got his Heroes on hold at the library! Thanks for posting! 14mo

1. I keep a reading journal, and here on Litsy of course!

2. I don't have a preference, as long as it's well written and consistent.

3. Well, it starts at 3am for me so hopefully sleeping followed by the usual chaos of getting the dudes ready in the morning.

4. If you are reading this, you are a favourite so consider yourself tagged!

I could see/hear Angela Bassett...or Bahni Turpin

Who‘s yours??

bookloo Angela Bassett is a GREAT choice. I‘d choose Maya Angelou (RIP) or Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. ☺️ 6y
Lcsmcat Ralph Cosham, if we can choose from those no longer with us. 😀 6y
Karkar LeVar Burton. I love his voice ❤️ 6y

Ubookquitous @Chelleo Mulgrew was Captain Janeway in StarTrek: Voyager, Red in Orange is the new Black and did a great one woman show where she played Katherine Hepburn called Tea at Five -the other two are Classically trained British Actresses with far too many credits to name LOL 6y
