Fireworks | 
Anyone else hate fireworks? 🙋🏽♀️
People have been setting them off in NYC non-stop for weeks so I'm really hoping that it will cool off after today. My anxiety can't handle the unexpected booms at all hours of the night anymore 😩
Melkyl My neighbor let them off for three hours last night. I really feel like his heart wasn‘t in it the last hour, as there were a couple breaks in the action 🙄 4y
MsMelissa Me 👋🏻 I hate any loud, sudden sound, with fireworks being the worst! My poor dog hates them, too, so she and I have extra cuddles during fireworks. 4y

Elizabeth2 I‘ve never loved them or felt a strong desire to see them, but I don‘t hate organized professional displays. I do not have tolerance for neighbors setting them off at all hours, though. When my kids were little it would wake them up. It‘s illegal here in MD, but my neighbors have never cared. This is our rescue pup‘s first 4th of July with us. She does not like thunder, so I‘m fairly sure she will be fearful tonight when they start up. 🙁 4y

SamAnne While I love a beautiful professional fireworks show, I hate the amateurs in the neighborhood. Which is why I‘m having a lovely day at home with my dog, while hubbie is at the lake with extended family about to set off an Arsenal. And we live across from a park with dry ponderosa pine forest and I like to be home to monitor possible forest fires. The day has been perfect, but I‘m bracing for when the sun goes down. (edited) 4y

Megabooks Hate them for Henry and my dog that‘s now passed on, Preston. People set them off all summer here now that they‘re legal. 4y
BookDragonNotWorm HATE them. Can't even fathom how setting them off could be entertaining. Luckily my senior dog is okay with them - as long as he's right on top of me. Sigh. 4y

Bette I dislike them as well, but as I was reading down the comments I was glad our day has been relatively quiet...and boom! It just started and I have cats all nuts. Nope. Not a fan. 4y

Scochrane26 Yes, I‘ve become very grumpy about fireworks over the years because my neighbors think they‘re an all-summer entertainment. So by time the 4th rolls around, I‘m sick of them. Last night & tonight are the loudest of course (tonight started at 6pm), & my cat has gotten anxious. 4y
Scochrane26 Btw, I loved doing fireworks as a kid—my street had a potluck out in the street, the kids did sparklers, then we did fireworks. But, those were very different fireworks than people use now. 4y

Lreads I don‘t like them. I have a very low tolerance for noise. People have been setting off fireworks here since noon. I‘ve had ear plugs and headphones on for most of the day and that has helped but I still feel so frazzled. 4y
bookishbitch I'm a dog trainer and also work at a vet hospital so it is hard for me to enjoy them because I know how many pets suffer because of them. And veterans too. 4y

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @swishandflick I got hit in the face as a teenager with a bottle rocket so I can‘t stand to be around them! No damage done, just scared the shit out of me!! 4y
DeeLew My poor dog is scared of fireworks. She was about to have a nervous breakdown last night. My anxiety is at an all time high right now too. I am so done with it. 4y
