My March #Bookspin pick is finished! I‘m realizing more and more that there are certain atmospheres and settings in books I like, like this one. A bleak French Island, with plenty of interesting characters. A daughter who wants to save them all. Superstition, secrets, and the sea. Understated books are my favorite.

Although I love Joanne Harris, Coastliners isn‘t one of my favorites-the covers are beautiful though! #coverlove #thecoast #lilithjuly

My lunch today... with a pretty new book 😁🐚👌💎

A beautiful book. I found the pace relaxingly slow, like the sea, hypnotic, at times. I struggled at times too, became distracted, and found in the last part I lost it a bit. But all in all a definite PICK & well worth the read.

You know this is my favourite afternoon, minded my granddaughter for the last two days. Not working till tomorrow. Sitting , reading, pausing every now & then to look at the river, daydreaming , checking into Litsy, and then returning to my book. An endless, lazy reading afternoon cycle. Bliss ! And as for THIS book , I love it ! It's so personal, I love that.

I must get back to my bookclubs summer reading list. ( & then maybe another Bosch). So, this book is written by the same author of Chocolate ? I didn't read, but loved the movie. Coastliners is set on an island. I love the opening line of the prologue: Islands are different. The smaller the island, the more true this becomes "
