Not my favorite book in the series. It seemed like someone decided to ' kill off' several characters and felt sloppy. The explanation for both Gavin and Jessie both to go and leave Travis was ridiculous. Also, it seemed strange to simply name the elites and intellectuals as the enemy, (felt like a shortcut to use buzzwords instead of pointing out lust for money and power as being the core issues, for instance).

I was so mad about what happened to the twins I nearly rage quit reading this book, but I needed something really horrible to happen to the bad guys. There‘s going to be another book in the series.

Unrelenting tension and an unyielding female protagonist are the highlights of this well-plotted novel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Waiting for the 4th installment in #DeanKoontz's #JaneHawk series is not easy. These 3 books had me totally absorbed -- I devoured them. If you enjoy a fast-paced adventure featuring a strong female protagonist with a touch of sci-fi & tons of suspense, you will not be able to put this series down! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks to #NetGalley for Advance Reader's Copies of the books!

This book... the ebb and flow, the intense action, the melancholy breaks that calms your heart down a beat before it all begins again.. This book, gets me excited, gets me sad, makes me mad, makes me feel as if I‘ve been transported into it. Koontz is a master of visual pictures, and making your heart feel. This book... reminds me of reading his books back in the day. Thank you to Random House and Netgalley for the Advanced Readers copies

Cupofjo And, just a warning... this ends with a cliffhanger that left me with my mouth gapping open, not believing I have to wait! 2y

Cupofjo @FlowerFairy have you started yet? I only got a few chapters in last night, but already I‘m wanting to pause life so I can read non stop!! 2y
FlowerFairy No, I haven‘t started yet. I had just started an eARC of Jonathan Mayberry‘s Glimpse. That one is very good as well. Going to start this one as soon as I finish. Good to know it‘s good! 2y

I have to admit, I haven't read the other two Jane Hawk books. I still enjoyed this installment. I certainly hope that this fictional story never comes to reality - very scary! Even with all the bad things happening in the book, there are little glimmers of hope as in this quote. (Odd Thomas is still my favorite Dean Koontz character.)

In this third installment of the Jane Hawk series, this rouge FBI s still on the run. Is she getting closer to revealing the truth behind the outbreak of murder/suicides that is responsible for her husband‘s death? Her travels take her to Lake Tahoe and beyond in this high intensity drama as she searches for answers.
