In this genre-bending novel, there is no such thing as chance and every action is carefully executed by highly trained agents. Youll never looks at coincidences the same way again. What if the drink you just spilled, the train you just missed, or the lottery ticket you just found was not just a random occurrence? What if its all part of a bigger plan? What if theres no such thing as a chance encounter? What if there are people we dont know determining our destiny? And what if they are even planning the fate of the world? Enter the Coincidence MakersGuy, Emily, and Ericthree seemingly ordinary people who work for a secret organization devoted to creating and carrying out coincidences. What the rest of the world sees as random occurrences, are, in fact, carefully orchestrated events designed to spark significant changes in the lives of their targetsscientists on the brink of breakthroughs, struggling artists starved for inspiration, loves to be, or just plain people like you and me... When an assignment of the highest level is slipped under Guys door one night, he knows it will be the most difficult and dangerous coincidence hes ever had to fulfill. But not even a coincidence maker can see how this assignment is about to change all their lives and teach them the true nature of fate, free will, and the real meaning of love. Part thriller, part mystery, part love storyKirkus calls this genre-bending novel a smart, unpredictable, and heartfelt adventure story.

Day 104.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.

I really liked the concept of this book. It brings up a lot of thoughts about fate and choices. If there were people in the world to make things come together, it would change a lot. It got a bit complicated and slow in the middle which really made it drag toward the end. Overall, it‘s a solid idea with some fun things to think about. #goodreadsgiveaway

Very glad I ran across this gem. Ever had a coincidence? What if missing your train or reaching for this book instead of the one next to it weren‘t random acts at all? Enter the coincidence makers. Seemingly ordinary people orchestrating events. How big are their plans? How do you become a coincidence maker? What happens if a coincidence maker opts out? Do coincidence makers have coincidence makers? What a fun, mind bending read. Highly recommend

I just started this one tonight. The premise is intriguing: there are no natural coincidences. They are all predetermined and arranged by a group of supernatural beings known as “The Coincidence Makers.” It‘s off to a good start. I‘ll update with a full review once I‘ve finished.

Great quote on what love feels like. Love the closing sentence and the idea of being wrapped with someone else.

I liked the idea of the book, and parts of it were very intriguing. I found myself drifting in and out of interest, though, and the characters were not that distinctive, more roles to move the plot forward. It felt like the uncovering of the rules of this world WAS the story, rather than a framework for a story.

This book was recommended to me by my friend Betty Taylor today!!! If you are looking for a book that was translated into English for any of your reading challenges, here you go! If you don‘t believe in coincidences, after this book you will! 😊Anyone already read this or have it on your tbr?

KateVaiden I just finished it and I‘m still not sure what to make of it! I liked thinking about coincidences in a new way, and found that really interesting, but I felt like I was trying to figure out the rules of this world the whole time. 6y

What a delightful read! Original, creative. Put a smile on my face. Coincidences do not just happen. Special agents called Coincidence Makers plan and meticulously plan out each thing that has to happen, all timed precisely. So eager to see his next two books translated into English. #YoavBlum #StMartinsPress

This was like an uplifting self-help book woven into a completely original novel.

And speaking of woven, the author didn‘t so much write this book as deftly weave its various narratives together.

After I went to bed last night, I realized that there were still a few clever things I hadn‘t originally caught and I ended up getting back up and pulling this book off my finished shelf to comb through it for more things I missed 👇🏼

Laalaleighh The author has had several bestsellers originally written in Hebrew and this is his English translation debut. The film rights were picked up this month and this is going to make an incredible movie. This is a surprising, incredibly unique story that will leave you looking at the paths we take in life through a new perspective. If you, like me, have a bit of an existentialist bent in you somewhere, then you will probably love this novel as well. (edited) 6y

Y‘all. I am so excited for this book. I came across it sometime this week, (although I can‘t remember how 🤷🏼‍♀️) was like “I want to read that right now”, and ordered it immediately and it‘s hereeeee. I hope it‘s as good as it sounds.

LauraBrook I love that you read the new books right away. I aspire to be like you! 💓 6y
Laalaleighh @LauraBrook awww 💙 I try! I have some books that are at least 5 years old still waiting to be read and tons of tbr shelves! But I‘m trying to get better about reading things while the initial excitement is there! 6y

This was a short book I expected to breeze right through. Unfortunately, I‘m throwing in the towel halfway through the book because I am simply no longer interested. The characters are lacking in depth and though I find the concept fascinating, Blumhasn‘t done much to add intrigue to his world building. It‘s a pass.

Thanks Netgalley for this book in exchange for an honest review.

This a Netgalley Arc that seemed to have a fascinating premise. This first chapter was very peculiar, for the lack of better word. So we‘ll see how this goes. That first chapter has me intrigued but also concerned...

Laura317 This intrigued me greatly. I look forward to your review. 6y
