Under the Never Sky
Under the Never Sky | Veronica Rossi
Fighting to survive in a ravaged world, a Dweller and a Savage form an unlikely alliance in New York Times bestselling author Veronica Rossi's "unforgettable dystopian masterpiece" (Examiner.com).Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wastelandknown as The Death Shopare slim. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He's wilda savageand her only hope of staying alive. A hunter for his tribe in a merciless landscape, Perry views Aria as sheltered and fragileeverything he would expect from a Dweller. But he needs Aria's help too; she alone holds the key to his redemption. In alternating chapters told in Aria's and Perry's voices, Under the Never Sky subtly and powerfully captures the evolving relationship between these characters and sweeps readers away to a harsh but often beautiful world. Continuing with Through the Ever Night and concluding with Into the Still Blue, the Under the Never Sky trilogy has already been embraced by readers in twenty-six countries and been optioned for film by Warner Bros. My current read right now. I really don't like audiobooks but I haven't had much time to read a physical book so audiobooks will have to do for right now📚

Because of the lack of explanations at the beginning I almost dnf-ed this book. But I'm glad I didn't, because it did get better and I'm planning to read next book soon.

First few chapters are really hard on me. I keep feeling like I am missing something, I even double checked if this is really first book in series, because there's major lack of explanations. I saw some reviews and they all say it get's better. We'll see.

BookHoarder32 I remember liking this one. I need to get back to the series. 🙃 11mo

On Chapter 7 of the #audiobook. The story is decent so far. I'll admit, the narrator's voice was a little tough to listen to at first, but I'm getting used to it as I get further in.

MelissaJCrispin Okay, so the narrator's voice has grown on me. I'm glad I stuck with it because the story is starting to build and has been good so far. 2y
MelissaJCrispin I'm so glad I stuck with this story. I really, really liked it! By the end, the narrator's voice didn't bother me at all. Makes me wonder if I should go back and re-try a few other audiobooks I abandoned due to the narrator. Maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance. 2y
MelissaJCrispin Anywho, great story. I immediately downloaded book #2 Through the Evernight. 😊 2y

This is the first work of Rossi that I've read, but I had the chance to see her speak and I knew I would enjoy her voice! (Did I mention she's Brazilian!?) I found the characters cheesy and dull and the beginning reminded me of "Feed" but then as the plot developed, I was hooked! The characters had a low key strength to them and there were pieces I couldn't imagine before they unfolded. Gostei!

MarriedtoMrT Second one is really good, too! 3y
Leetha_rose @MarriedtoMrT, finished it last night and I'm half way through the third! I'm hooked! 3y

Very satisfying series. From book 1 to book 3, there is consistency, action, romance, and wonderful characters. I couldn't recommend this more to anyone who is a fan of dystopian with a sci-fi twist. I'm surprised the series isn't "hunger games huge" bc it was more enjoyable to read. #undertheneversky #readthis #dystopian

BookHoarder32 Loved the first one! I need to get back to the other two. 3y
LazyLibrary @BookHoarder32 you absolutely should! The series didn't suffer from "Middle book syndrome" or fall flat on its conclusion! I would love a movie! 3y

This book felt so derivative to me! I know it came out several years ago, and actually was toward the beginning of the dystopian trend, but it still felt like well-trod territory. Recommended only for the most die-hard love in a hard land teens and adults.

I will forever be in love with this series. The story has captivated me for years and I usually do a reread once a year. I highly recommend these books to any reader.

Peddler410 Are the good for middle school or more for high school? 3y
WolfeWillRead @Peddler410 I would say high school, because of violence (not graphic) and maybe some adult situation stuff. 3y
