I was entertained by this unbelievable storyline so I‘m giving it a slow pick. I was intrigued with the Malcolm Bannister and Quinn Rucker storyline, but the flow of the story took a hit at midpoint with a story within a story and - I wanted back to the original plot. It came together but I‘d have liked it more if the sub-story had been significantly reduced. ↓

Surely is a page-turner, with many characters and places. Fans of suspense novels, like myself, would love this book. Grisham does it fast-paced and never gives a chance to bore you.
Completely different type of Grisham novel compared to the ones he wrote before this one. A much slower pace and well crafted story. An inmate at a federal prison camp, who was previously a lawyer, knows who killed a federal judge and what was stolen from his safe. He‘s willing to cooperate with the FBI...for a price, of course. #MountTBR
Didn't realize I forgot to make an introductory post until just now 😂 this is my most recent read and Grisham doesn't disappoint. Whenever I read his books - especially his newer books - I get the sense that he doesn't like the police or FBI very much, because of what seems to be a common theme in all books. But definitely recommend this one - the little review on the cover sums it up.
Book bundle 13 for our #SummerReadingProgram: the Grisham Paperback Bundle! Would you choose this one? Any Grisham fans?

I finished my audio today. I haven‘t read John Grisham in probably 2 years. I love that Grisham likes to take you down one path and you think you know where the book is going and then it flips on you. If you haven‘t read John Grisham in a long time, you should check this one out, its a good one and I gave it 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Eek!!! Three of my library holds showed up in the same week! And I‘m nit a fast reader, good thing 2 of them are audios. I‘m listening to the tagged book now and starting The a Perfect Mother today. #librarybookproblems
It‘s a John Grisham.
Bought for me by my Mother in Law for xmas. A process that have provided some hits and misses over the years.
So review wise I would say well written, pedestrian plot that it is sown up well at the end so you get closure.
Not on par with Rainmaker or a Time to Kill.
Even the cover of the book was meh. I like this one better
This was is in the mixed bag that were my xmas presents. Some bought for me, some given to myself.
Already deviated from the plan of reading these before getting anything new in
Another solid book by Grisham. Some of the twists and turns got a little confusing in the last half of the book, but, in Grisham style, it all came together at the end.
What a crazy web of twists and turns. It's so easy to get caught up in this novel. I've never read a bad Grisham book. So good!
I forgot how good (and dangerous) it is to have 1 click access to millions of books via kindle....
I really love crime thrillers and have heard rave reviews about The Racketeer - hopefully it will make my 12 hour flight more exciting!
