Such a heartwarming story of one cat‘s travels through life.
This book is told from the perspective of Doodle who is a bed bug sniffing Labradoodle. It is light hearted and funny but has some serious moments too. I love this series!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ K.L. Montgomery is a new author to me and now one of my favorite Cozy Mystery writers. In this 3 book boxed set, we meet Sunshine who is the YA librarian in Bryce Beach. Sunshine becomes a sleuth who helps the local police solve crimes. The characters in these books are lovable and the books so much fun to read. I already have Book 4 on my Kindle ready to be read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ JD Spero has hit it out of the park snd beyond with this sequel to Boy on Hold. Ty is released after having had a psychotic break and murdering his neighbor Miss. Sally. After his mother Marcella is brutally attacked, Ty is arrested for the crime. Marcella insists that he is innocent but Ty seems to have confessed when the police arrived on the scene. JD does such a marvelous job bringing mental health to the forefront of this novel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a beautiful book. This author has really touched my soul. This is the story of how Ruth and her family end up in internment camps with other Japanese who are living in the US. It also follows the reunion of Rachel with the daughter she was forced t give up at birth. So heartwarming and heartbreaking.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a thriller unlike any I have read before. Blythe is a mother who begins to question her daughters emotions and actions. A devastating event takes place that reinforces what she is thinking about her own daughter.
A beautiful historical fiction book about Rachel. She contracts leprosy as a child an is exiled to Moloka‘i. Rachel finds friends and family along the way as she grows on this island. I knew nothing of Hawaii nor the leprosy colonies until reading this book. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a wonderful story of love and loss. Adrienne Dealey decides to take a job as an assistant manager in a restaurant even though she has worked in hotels until now. Adrienne has moved a lot and is new in Nantucket. This is the last Summer for the Blue Bistro to be open. Each of the characters comes alive in this story and all the feels are here.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A wonderful story of how one little girl can change the lives of so many. Mary is an orphan who arrives to live with her Uncle who she does not know. Her Uncle is gone most of the time and Mary is left with the servants. Mary is a quite precocious little girl. What she discovers will change the future for a little boy and his father.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A beautifully written story about Janie who sets out to be her own woman in the 1930s. She Janie is a strong woman who takes commitment very seriously. There were moments that made me laugh and moments that made me sad.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The story of the shocking murders of Shanann, Bella, Celeste and Nico Watts. The author does a good job of giving us background information on everyone involved. Parts of this book were very hard to read because I cannot imagine this happening to my children or grandchildren. So much senseless loss.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Noemi travels High Place to check on her cousin who has sent her a letter asking for help. Noemi finds the house to be an unusual place with unusual people . She must discover the secrets that are held and get herself and the her cousin back home. Spooky book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book begins with the death of two teenage boys. It tells the story of those left behind and how they deal with what has happened. It is a wonderful story of forgiveness. I love how the author told the story through the different characters. She used Rufus, the dog, to reach her readers as well. Rufus was an amazing character.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The second book in the Evelyn Talbot series is very good. It kept me hooked through the whole book. I cannot wait to begin the 3rd book.
Body parts have shown up and the victims are linked to Hanover House. Evelyn worries that her life may be in danger and needs to figure out who the killer is and why these deaths have happened.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed the book but it was predictable. A woman sees a man that she terms “bus boy” and spends a year looking for him because she cannot stop thinking about him. The story takes a turn when they finally meet.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of my all time favorite books!!! We follow two time lines. One follows an Apothecary in the 1800s. The other one follows a woman on her 10th anniversary trip as she discovers The Lost Apothecary.
This book is so beautifully written. I loved every single minute I spent reading it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved this book!!! Nick has been missing for almost 2 years. His wife has been looking for him for all this time. Autumn and her two teenagers decide to go home for the Summer to Sable Beach. There is healing, secrets, love and loss in this wonderful story by Brenda Novak.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book was written while Mr. De Wind was in the concentration camps. He would write about what happens on scraps of paper. It was translated into a book after the war. A reminder of how awful human being can be to one another and what we cannot allow to happen again.
I was struggling with the audiobook so I went back and began the book over in Kindle. This did not help so I ended up going back to the audiobook. I just could never get into this book. Not exactly sure why. I just never felt invested. I would not have finished for if it had not been for this being buddy read. I have to start DNFing a book of I am struggling like this.
