so-soEli Teague has met the mysterious Harry three times over 20 years when a faceless man comes to the bank where he to question him about her. Eli decides its time to find Harry himself and maybe join her on her quest, whatever it might be.
It had its moments but I suspect would be far more enjoyable for an American reader. I'll give it a So-So because it doesn't deserve a Pan but I'm just not the intended audience.

I'm definitely enjoying this book a lot. There's just one problem - I arrived home with 41 minutes of the book left to finish! 😧
I'm hoping I'll have time between work and a meeting tomorrow, but it could be a day or two, which is frustrating 😅
pickA few hours into the audiobook I was considering bailing on it because it was slow. But around the 3 hour mark it finally grabbed my interest. A fun story about -time- history travel.
Damn it- audible caught me again. A lot of good titles for $5! I highly recommend Hounded!
pickThe quote on the front of this likens it to Doctor Who meets National Treasure. That‘s a pretty apt description. This was a fun timey-wimey adventure story about the American dream. These days, it‘s nice to be reminded of that dream.
I‘m terribly behind on my reading for this month‘s Sci-fi and Fantasy book club, but at only 10 chapters in I‘m liking this pick infinitely more than last month‘s train wreck.

pickThis highly original time travel novel taps into the American love of the open road (and explains that occasional small town that still has a video store). A charming, entertaining ride.

pickAlternated between Pick and So-so. Liked it but wasn‘t blown away like some of his other books. I gave it the Pick because it all came together nicely and Ray Porter.
My first ever #PageHabit box!
I was wavering between the #fantasy box & their inaugural #scifi box, & ended up going with the latter. Bookish items include a bearcat coaster, an enamel/metal Comics pin* & a patch* that says “Time Traveler”. The included branded bookmark is nice and & the bonus #shortfiction looks promising. I‘ve never read an author-annotated novel before so this should be an interesting experience.

I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi but I read that this was described as an American Doctor Who. That hooked me. That is pretty accurate and it's the aspect that kept me reading. Other than that, I felt like the book just alternated between explanations for history travel and nail-biting action which is not my cup of tea. Personally, I did not love it. Full review on my blog.

So, here it is: the #PageHabit Sci-Fi box.
Here's my honest review. Lots of annotations throughout the book as promised. A bookmark, pin, and some cat thing. And a letter from the author. All of this is as promised and beautiful to open.
Now the one complaint. Who thought putting a romance short story in a Sci-Fi box was a good idea?? If it's a Sci-Fi box, for the love of the FSM put a Sci-Fi short story in the box!

I squeeze reading in anywhere and anytime I can. I've never understood people that say they "don't have time". You make time, even if that means you're surrounded by kittens and toddlers (and sometimes you have to pause to get a check-up or read a picture book).
Paradox Bound is a good one for fans of time travel (aka history travel) but aren't looking for something super confusing.

Y'all!!!! New Ken Follett and Peter Clines!!! I am SO EXCITED!!! The Follett continues the Knightsbridge story! Have any of you read Peter Clines Ex-Heroes series? It's one of my favorites.
pickThis is a fun, quick read - a good choice if you need something smart, light but engaging. There's action, a touch of romance, lots of great hats and cool cars. Plus time travel. I mean, what's not to love? ^_^
